Chapter 485:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Sara chatted with Captain Smith throughout the afternoon.
By the time she got home, it was already past seven in the evening.
To her surprise, Leo had already returned home, and Payton had come too.
“Sara, you’re back.”
Payton turned to look at her.
She smiled, walked over and nonchalantly tossed her purse on the couch. She sat down next to Leo and looked at Payton with a slight smile. “Juliet won’t be joining you tonight, will she?” she said teasingly.
“Yes, that’s why I came to join you,” Payton said.
“Save it!”
Sara waved her hand and leaned back on the couch, bluntly revealing her purpose for coming here.

“You’re only here for the food.”
“You know me well” Payton smiled resignedly.
Sara smiled and turned to look at Leo beside her.
“Leo, why are you back so early today?”
He had said he’d been busy with work lately and might be coming home later.
Leo raised his eyebrows slightly with a slight smile, “I thought you hadn’t seen me.”
Sara froze and realized he was complaining that she hadn’t spoken to him first.
She couldn’t help but laugh, “How could I not see you?”.
“Leo, are you jealous of me?” Payton asked with a smile.
The smile on Payton’s face froze as Leo shot daggers at her.
She quickly rubbed her nose and stood up, “I’m going to see if the food is ready.”
And slipped away.
Seeing this, Sara couldn’t help but laugh, “Leo, look, you scared Payton.”
“He should go, do you want to make it a third wheel?”
Leo reached up and stroked her short cheek hair behind her ear.
He looked at her softly and said, “I want to be alone with you.”
Sara pressed her lips together and smiled.
Her beautiful eyes were full of bright light.
She was extremely beautiful.
“Where did you go today, why did you come back so late?” he asked her.
“I went to the hospital with Captain Smith and discussed the case with him during the afternoon, so I came back late.”
He nodded and asked, “Did you find anything?”
Sara curved her lips.
“Jennie still refuses to admit that she pushed butler Zhao down the stairs and insists she fell by accident.”
Leo frowned slightly.
“If she won’t admit it and there’s no hard evidence to prove her guilt, then… even if Butler Zhao says she pushed him, there’ll be no way to convict her.”
“That’s right… My head hurts from all this.”
Sara curved her lips and rested her head on his shoulder.
She asked softly, “Leo, what do you think I should do?”
If Jennie didn’t get the punishment she deserved, she wouldn’t be at ease.
How were they going to catch her with almost no evidence in this case?
