Chapter 486:.
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Leo gently stroked her soft hair and said in a deep, soft tone, “Sara, don’t worry. There will always be a way.”
“Will you help me?”
Sara turned to look at him, her bright eyes full of expectation.
Leo raised his eyebrows slightly.
The answer was obvious.
Nevertheless, he asked Sara to guess.
Sara smiled and said, “No.”
She knew he would help her, so there was no need to guess.
Leo smiled and patted her head, saying, “Wait for the good news.”
“Okay.”
She nodded obediently.
“It’s time for dinner.”
At that moment, a sudden voice sounded.
Sara immediately sat up and looked over, seeing Payton waiting for them in the dining room.
“We’ll be right there,” Sara replied, then stood up and walked toward the dining room.
“Leo, father wants me to go home.”

In the middle of dinner, Payton suddenly said this.
Sara looked at him in surprise.
What?
The Lu Family was going to start picking on Payton?
“Tell her you’re not coming back.” Leo said calmly, and there wasn’t the slightest bit of surprise on his face.
He knew his father.
Since he had already made up his mind, sooner or later he would act.
However, his father had forgotten that Payton had an older brother behind him, so how could he allow him to be hurt?
“That’s what I told him.” Payton frowned and pondered for a moment, asking,
“Did something happen when you came home last time? If not, why would you want me to come back?”.
Hearing this, Sara and Leo exchanged glances and pursed their lips.
When they returned from the Lu Family, neither she nor Leo told Payton and the others about the specific situation.
They only casually said that their father did not agree with their marriage.
Because they didn’t want to bring unnecessary trouble to Payton and Juliet, so they did their best to protect them. But now, when Payton asked, she didn’t know how to answer.
“Why don’t you answer?”
Sara raised her eyebrows and put a shrimp in her bowl.
She smiled and said, “This is your favorite shrimp.”
Payton looked at her, who was smiling faintly, and then looked down at the large shrimp in the bowl.
After thinking for a while, she looked up again and said decisively, “They must be hiding something from me.”
Sara helplessly turned to look at Leo.
She slowly put the chopsticks down in her hand and looked at Payton, saying,
“What do you think we’re keeping from you?”
Payton frowned and said, “Aside from not accepting her marriage, Father must have said something else, like threats.”
Indeed, she knew her father very well.
Sara raised her eyebrows and thought there was no need to keep it from Payton now. At least he could be prepared if he was told.
So she said, “Payton, you’re right. Your father did threaten Leo, but…he threatened Leo with you.”
“To me?” Payton raised his eyebrows in surprise and asked, “Why?”
“Because you’re Leo’s younger brother.”
Payton grimaced in disbelief and said, “I’m his son too! I can’t believe he threatened Leo with me. He really is ‘a good father’.”
At his mocking words, Sara curved her lips and said, “I wanted to control Leo by controlling you.”
It was the first time she had seen such a ruthless father.
In comparison, he was even worse than her father.
“Bullshit!”
Payton felt very angry.
She wished she could go home now and directly break the father-son relationship with him.
If it wasn’t for his mother, he really wanted to do it so he wouldn’t cause trouble for his brother.
“What do we do now?” Payton asked.
“Wait and see.”
Leo remained calm, as if what they were talking about had nothing to do with him.
He was mentally prepared.
That was why he was so calm.
Payton pursed her lips and leaned back, saying, “This is the only way now.”
Looking at the food Sasha had prepared on the table in front of her, she felt she no longer felt like eating.
The atmosphere became somewhat dull.
Sara looked at Payton and then at Leo.
One was angry and the other calm.
Their expressions were completely different.
She couldn’t help but laugh, saying, “All right, stop at this point. We still have to eat. Otherwise, how are we going to have the energy to deal with what might happen next?”
Hearing this, Payton immediately picked up the chopsticks from the table and said, “Sara, you’re right. We need to eat more so we can fight the big demon.”
After saying that, she grabbed a bowl and started gobbling as if she had been hungry for several days.
Seeing this, Sara laughed.
Indeed, her emotions quickly changed.
She turned around and noticed that Leo was still motionless.
She raised her eyebrows gently, looked at his cold face.
Then she put some food in his bowl and whispered, “Have some more. You’ve gotten thinner lately.”
Leo turned to look at her and said with a smile, “Thank you for caring.”
“You’re welcome.”
Sara looked at him helplessly and urged him to eat quickly, otherwise the food would get cold.
The orange lights glowed creating a warm and cozy atmosphere.
They ate in silence and neither spoke.
But in their hearts, they clearly knew that a hard battle awaited them.
All the unknown made them feel a little worried inside.
After sending Yayoi and her parents back home, Maddox went straight back to Casa de los Shen.
When he reached the second floor, he happened to see Wendy coming out of Old Master Shen’s room.
He stopped walking, put his hands in his pockets and looked at her silently.
Wendy had been chatting with Old Master Shen for a long time.
She did not leave the room until Old Master Shen got tired and fell asleep.
Unexpectedly, as soon as she left the room, she ran into Maddox, who had just returned home.
She was stunned for a moment, then smiled brightly and said quietly, “Maddox, you’re back.”
Maddox replied with a smile, “Yes, I’m back.”
He walked toward her and stopped in front of her. He glanced into old Shen’s room and asked, “Is Grandpa asleep?”.
Wendy replied, “Yes, he just fell asleep. You can go in to see him if you want to.”
She thought he wanted to go in to see Old Master Shen, so she retreated to the side.
“Since he’s asleep, I won’t go in,” Maddox said, then stared at Wendy, asking, “Wendy, do you have a minute, shall we talk?”
“What?”
Wendy’s eyes widened in surprise.
She couldn’t believe he wanted to talk to her .
