Chapter 490:.
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Jennie didn’t care at all anymore.
All she wanted was to make Sara suffer and never let go.
She ignored her daughter’s screams and grabbed Sara by the arm, pulling her out of the ward.
Seeing this, Rorey’s face paled instantly.
He followed her with long strides and reached out to grab her hand. Jennie, however, shouted, “Don’t follow me! Stay away!”
Rorey’s hand froze in mid-air and he watched helplessly as his mother pulled Sara toward the elevator.
She ran forward, but the elevator door closed in front of her and up she went.
Unlike Rorey, Sara, who was being threatened with a knife against her neck, seemed much calmer.
When she saw Jennie press the button for the top floor, she frowned slightly. Then, she looked at Jennie’s hand holding the knife.

In fact, she could get rid of Jennie as long as she turned her elbow back, but she feared that it would completely upset Jennie and she could stab her directly.
For her own safety, Sara dared not act rashly.
She could only persuade her gently: “Jennie, what you’re doing now will only make Rorey worry. We can negotiate, can’t we, why do you have to do this?”
“Negotiate?” Jennie scoffed and said, “I know you always want me to die. Now you’re telling me you want to negotiate with me. It’s too late now.”
The elevator reached the top floor.
The elevator door opened and the stairs leading to the roof appeared.
Jennie stepped out of the elevator and pushed her up the stairs one step at a time.
The rooftop door was not locked.
Jennie reached out and opened the door.
In an instant, a cold wind blew toward them.
Sara couldn’t help but shiver.
She tilted her head slightly to look at Jennie behind her and then silently looked around.
Inwardly, she secretly assessed how safe she would be if she had to attack Jennie head-on.
Jennie pushed her up to the roof railing and stopped.
It was the hospital’s inpatient building.
It was seven stories high.
From here she could clearly see what was going on below.
Sara frowned slightly.
Jennie had brought her to this rooftop, didn’t she want to push her off the roof?
Before she could think any further about Jennie’s intentions, Jennie said somberly,
“Sara, do you think if you fall off here, you’ll die?”.
Hearing this, Sara was startled.
Was she out of her mind?
“Jennie, don’t be hasty,” Sara said calmly.
Jennie didn’t seem to hear her, however.
She said, “You will die if you fall from here. Since I can’t escape the punishment of the law, I don’t mind killing other people. After you die, my poor daughter won’t have to worry about anyone against her.”
Hearing this, Sara became very nervous.
She knew that with Jennie’s personality, it was possible for her to do this. She had to take action. Anyway, only then would she know if it was feasible or not.
So she turned her head slightly and pretended to be afraid, shouting, “Rorey, save me! Your mother wants to push me off the roof.”
Hearing this, Jennie thought Rorey had gone up too, so she turned around in a hurry.
Sara immediately grabbed her wrist and exerted force with her hand.
Jennie screamed in pain and the fruit knife fell to the ground.
Sara did not let go of her hand, but instead bent her arm and pushed her elbow back. Jennie screamed and staggered back a few steps.
Sara clapped her hands and looked at Jennie with disdain, saying, “Jennie, do you think you can threaten me all by yourself? I only pretend to cooperate.”
Jennie glared at her and gritted her teeth, angrily yelling, “Sara!”
Sara smiled and said, “I’m here. Speak up. Don’t waste our time.”
Jennie looked at the knife at Sara’s feet.
A trace of murderous intent flashed quickly in her eyes. She rushed forward and slashed straight at Sara.
Sara’s entire back slammed into a concrete fence, causing her to wince in pain.
Before she could react, she saw Jennie running toward her with a knife in her hand.
She was so frightened that her eyes widened and she quickly dodged to the side.
Seeing her dodge, Jennie lunged at her again. This time, Sara grabbed her wrist and pushed her hand away.
However, Jennie’s strength was no small thing either.
As she saw the tip of the knife move closer and closer to her, a trace of cruelty flashed in Sara’s eyes, and she lifted her foot and kicked her in the belly.
Jennie screamed and loosened the hand holding the knife, falling to the ground.
To prevent her from grabbing the knife again, Sara picked it up and threw it away.
Jennie lay motionless on the ground for a long moment.
Sara frowned.
She didn’t kick too hard, so how could Jennie not get up?
At that moment, Rorey also reached the rooftop.
He saw his mother lying on the ground while Sara stood to the side.
She quickly ran to her mother and shouted, “Mom, what’s wrong? Mom.”
Then, she raised her head and looked angrily at Sara, “Sara, what have you done to my mother?”.
Sara raised her eyebrows and said nonchalantly, “Help her up and wait for the police.”
After saying that, she turned and walked away.
She didn’t want to waste any more time with them.
So he walked to the side and called Captain Smith, asking him to go to the roof. Captain Smith asked confused, “Why did you go to the roof?”.
Sara smiled and said, “I can’t explain it clearly now. Come here. Hurry.”
Before she could hang up the phone, Rorey’s exclamation came from behind her.
“Mom!”
Sara turned around and saw Jennie running toward her.
In front of her was a low fence, so if Jennie hit her like that, she would definitely fall.
In an instant, she dodged to the side.
Captain Smith, who also heard the scream, asked anxiously, “What happened!”
But what greeted him was silence and a piercing cry, “Mom!”.
When Jennie lunged toward Sara, Sara dodged her. However, Jennie couldn’t hold back, so she crashed straight into the fence and fell directly on top of it.
Sara was startled and unconsciously reached out to grab her, but it was too late.
He could only watch her fall from the roof like a broken doll.
