Jennie had died.

Sara was sitting in a chair outside the ER, her hands and body shaking uncontrollably.

She couldn’t forget the scene of Jennie’s fall.

Captain Smith frowned even more and said, “Miss Tang, you need to come back to the police station with me later. I need to ask you about Jennie’s death.”

“I know.”

Sara nodded.

She had witnessed Jennie’s fall, so it was only natural that the police would talk to her.

Jennie was lying in a hospital bed and they had covered her with a white cloth.

But Rorey was nowhere to be seen.

A nurse rushed out and said, “The deceased’s daughter fainted.”

Sara and Captain Smith exchanged glances, then quickly got up and ran to the emergency room.

Because she was worried about Rorey, Sara waited for him to wake up before leaving quietly.

Rorey buried her mother quietly with a simple funeral.

She dressed in black and stood at her mother’s grave.

Looking at the picture of her mother smiling lovingly on the headstone, her eyes, which had long been swollen behind sunglasses, became watery again.

“Mom, don’t worry, I won’t let Sara get away. I’ll make him pay for your death.”

Tears rolled down her cheeks.

After a long moment, she withdrew her hand, lifted it to wipe away the tears and turned to walk away with long strides.

The cemetery was silent.

The wind rustled the branches and the leaves rustled.

The cemetery had a somber look.

Because of Jennie’s death, Sara had been depressed for several days.

Others might think she was sad, but in reality, she had not yet forgotten the fear of that day.

Juliet, who had been called by Leo to accompany her, couldn’t help but be annoyed to see her dejected

“Sara, you don’t sound like you anymore. Jennie deserves to be punished. It’s none of your business, do you understand?” she asked her.

When Yayoi heard her fierce tone, she tugged on her arm and scolded her, “Juliet, she was feeling bad. Your loud voice will scare her again.”

Juliet was also worried about Sara. She didn’t want her to worry any more about Jennie’s accidental death.

“Sara, I knew you saw Jennie fall down the stairs that day, but did you forget that she wanted to knock you down the second before? If you didn’t dodge, the one who would have died would have been you.”

Sara understood what he was saying, but they didn’t see it with their own eyes, so they couldn’t understand his feelings at all.

Even if a cat or a dog fell, she would still feel scared and uncomfortable.

She smiled and nodded, saying, “Alright, let’s go shopping.”

Hearing that, Yayoi couldn’t help but laugh and said, “Juliet, you’re still as narcissistic as ever.”

“What, why not?” Juliet looked at her angrily and continued, “Yes we are beautiful. I’m just telling the truth.”

“Indeed, it is the truth.” Sara nodded her head.

Juliet reached out to grab Sara’s shoulder and intimately rested her head on her shoulder.

Yayoi smiled helplessly and shook her head.

She lifted the cup and took a sip.

She looked out the French window onto the street. Without noticing, she saw two familiar figures in the crowd.

He frowns and puts the cup down. She turns around and fixes her gaze on the two people. After seeing them clearly, the smile on her face disappeared instantly.

Juliet said, “Sara, I will retouch Yayoi to make her look uglier. She doesn’t think she’s pretty anyway.”

Sara leaned over and looked at the screen.

She laughed out loud and grabbed her phone.

“Yayoi, look, how ugly you are!”.

Sara grabbed the phone and wanted to show it to Yayoi, but she realized she was looking out the French window and her expression wasn’t very good, so she looked to where Yayoi was doing it.

She was dumbfounded, wasn’t that man Maddox?

Then who was the woman standing next to him?
