Chapter 147:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Kelly’s POV
“Mommy!” Snow ran to me as soon as she saw me. Tears were streaming down her face as she threw herself into my arms.
I looked over at Phoebe as I lifted Snow into my arms.
“What’s wrong?”
“She saw Luke on the news. I didn’t know she was watching TV. I was in the kitchen, making pancakes, when I heard her crying,” Phoebe explained, her voice tinged with guilt.
I sighed, holding my daughter tightly. “Shh, it’s okay, sweetie.”
“Mommy, what h-happened to Uncle Luke?”
I bit my bottom lip, shaking my head. “Uncle Luke… he’s gone, sweetheart.”
She cried harder, her little body trembling in my arms. “Why?”
I gently cupped her cheeks as I sat on the couch, pulling her onto my lap. “Shh, sweetheart. Uncle Luke became an angel.”
She paused, looking at me with wide, innocent eyes. “J-just like Grandma and Grandpa?”

I nodded, offering her a small smile. “Yes, pumpkin.”
“I won’t see him again, like Grandma and Grandpa?”
I touched her chest, where her heart was. “No, darling. They’ll always be with you, guiding you until you grow up to be a fine lady.”
Her lips trembled as she looked at me with uncertainty. “C-can they promise?”
I hugged her tightly, my own eyes filling with tears. I looked over at Phoebe, who was watching us with a sad expression.
“You should eat now,” Phoebe said softly, then leaned forward to speak to Snow. “Sweetheart, do you want to visit my house again?”
Phoebe’s suggestion was a good one. The best way to distract Snow and protect her from everything happening around us was to take her away from the chaos for a while.
I turned to Snow, gazing at her small face. “Sweetheart, would you like to stay with Aunt Phoebe for a few days?”
She blinked, thinking it over. “In the house with the big pool, Mommy?”
“Yes, darling, we will.”
Finally, a small smile appeared on her face. “Does that mean Daddy Pierce will be there too?”
She wants to be with her dad. She doesn’t know it yet, but her heart can feel it. I feel something suffocating inside me.
I tucked her hair behind her ears. “Do you want to stay with Daddy Pierce?”
“Yes!”
I nodded. “You can go with Aunt Phoebe for now. Mommy just needs to take care of something.”
Her innocent, doe-like eyes stared up at me. “You’ll sleep at Daddy Pierce’s house too, Mommy?”
I felt a pang in my chest. “No, sweetheart. But I will visit you and pick you up after a few days. Is that a deal?”
She caressed her chin, thinking for a moment, then nodded, smiling brightly. “It’s a deal, Mommy!”
“Let’s go change into your clothes, okay? We’re leaving today.”
Snow excitedly took Phoebe’s hand. At that moment, Emily entered and walked straight to the dining table. She sat down and looked at me. “Finally, I can eat now. How about you?”
I sat across from her, but as soon as the smell of her coffee hit my nose, my stomach lurched, and I suddenly felt nauseous.
I quickly covered my mouth and rushed to the sink, but nothing came up. I washed my mouth, then froze, realizing something.
“Kelly, are you…”
My heart raced as I stared at the running water. Emily came over and turned off the faucet. She glanced from my stomach back to my face before gasping, covering her mouth.
I swallowed hard, unsure of what to feel. I might be pregnant. I might be carrying Pierce’s child again. And I don’t know if this is a good thing. Everything is still so chaotic. I haven’t gathered enough evidence to put my mom’s killer behind bars.
“Kelly, you need to take a test.”
I looked up at her and bit my bottom lip. “What should I do, Emily?”
“You need to talk to Pierce. Tell him about the baby. Also, about Snow.”
I hesitated, my mind racing. “It’s still complicated between us…”
“It’s not just about you and him, Kelly. It’s about your child. He deserves to know the truth.”
Silence settled between us. I didn’t know what to say. I’m not even sure if I’m pregnant, but I have a strong feeling that I am. I could be carrying Pierce’s child again, and it makes my heart race.
Pierce’s POV
“LEXI!” I shouted, struggling to free my wrists from the handcuffs.
I was just about to head home after a long day of work when someone hit me with a bat. The pain in my head was unbearable when I woke up, only to find myself handcuffed to a bed. Lexi was sitting on a single chair, staring at me with an empty expression.
“You’re still handsome as hell!” she exclaimed, shaking her head.
I gritted my teeth. “Let me go, Lexi!”
She smiled, her expression cold. “I knew you’d hate me for this, but I don’t have a choice, Pierce. You’re forcing my hand.”
“We’ve already talked, Lexi! I told you I don’t love you anymore!” I was still trying to free myself.
My wrists were bleeding from the struggle, but I didn’t care. The situation was escalating, and I could already see what she intended.
She stood up slowly, walking towards me with a disturbing calmness. Her lips curled into a smirk as she eyed me.
This is insane.
I felt a deep unease settle in my chest as she began to undress. Something felt wrong, more than just the physical struggle.
“What? Is it working now?” she asked, her voice dripping with intent.
I glared at her, my eyes filled with disgust. “What did you do to me, Lexi?”
She bit her finger and smiled darkly. “It’s just a little something to help, Pierce. A way to ensure you’ll father my child. After that, you’re free to go.”
“You’re out of your mind!”
Her expression hardened. “Crazy? You’re the crazy one here, Pierce. You’re willing to be with Kelly, but you can’t even think of being with me again. How foolish of you.”
“Let me go,” I ground out, my voice strained with frustration.
“No chance,” she replied, her grip tightening.
“Let me go, Lexi!” I shouted, desperation lacing my voice. “I will never love you again, no matter what you do!”
“I know you won’t,” she said, her tone almost satisfied. “But you’ll love our child, Pierce.”
“Don’t touch me!” I yelled, panic starting to claw at me.
She smirked and climbed onto the bed, positioning herself above me. I felt disgust and anger surge through me as her hand moved towards me. I struggled, but my legs were tied.
I groaned, trying to fight it, not giving her the satisfaction she sought.
“Don’t fight it, Pierce. The drug will take effect, and you won’t be able to resist.”
I clenched my teeth, the revulsion in my chest growing. “You just made me hate you even more, Lexi.”
Her eyes narrowed with bitterness. “And you made me hate Kelly even more. When you chose her over me, you sealed this fate.”
This was pathetic. I couldn’t let her do this. I had to fight. I couldn’t let this drug take control of me, not again. I needed to fight it, no matter what.
Fuck you, Lexi!”
She giggled and successfully sat on my crotch, moaning disgustingly.
Kelly, baby… Baby, I’m so sorry… How can I face you again?
It was so disgusting and horrible. I sat on the bed, hands and feet free, but I didn’t have the strength to get up. The effects of the drug had worn off, but I still couldn’t find the strength to leave. “Sir, are you okay?” I shook my head. My assistant came in but it was too late, “What would Kelly do if she found out we fucked again, Pierce?
Lexi’s words echoed in my head. I want to make her pay, but what would I tell the authorities? That my ex-girlfriend kidnapped me and forced me to have sex with her? Damn it!
I took a video of us doing it, Pierce. Even if you were under the influence of drugs, Kelly would be so hurt and disappointed if she saw it. What do you think? Should I give her a copy?”
I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists. Lexi managed to escape as my assistant came to my rescue. I feel pathetic and stupid.
“Sir, I want to know what happened. We have to report this incident.”
I pulled myself up and clenched my jaw. “I’ll handle this myself. Don’t…tell anyone.”
