Chapter 681:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Early in the morning, RK took Stella to the doctor for a checkup.
Stella held the reports in her hands, surprised, not knowing how to express how she felt. She looked at RK, but couldn’t find the right words.
“Stella…” RK took her in his arms, worried. Although he wanted to know if Stella was pregnant, his heart was filled with uncertainty when he saw her expression.
“Rene…” Stella didn’t know how to communicate her feelings. She hadn’t expected him to be so worried if she was pregnant.
“Mmm…” RK hugged her tighter, stroking her back and then pulling her apart a little to stare at her.
“Estela, it doesn’t matter. If you’re not pregnant now, we’ll have one in the future.” RK figured Stella wasn’t expecting a baby and that her tiredness was just from exhaustion.
“Huh?” Stella didn’t understand RK’s words at first. Then, realizing what he had said, she covered her mouth and smiled, surprised.
RK looked at her, confused by her reaction. He didn’t understand what was going on.
“Silly, I’ve been pregnant for two months,” Stella said, smiling as she gently pinched his arm.
“Really?” RK couldn’t believe his ears. His gaze was filled with disbelief.
“Yes, I asked the doctor. The doctor said it’s completely normal to feel tired and that I need more exercise,” Stella explained, still with a smile on her face.
“Am I going to be a father again?” RK couldn’t believe that he would soon be a father again.
“Yes,” Stella nodded firmly, looking at RK with a serious and sincere expression.
“To be honest, it’s a relief. I’m just sleepy, and I haven’t felt nauseous, which is a comfort. If I wasn’t, I’d probably be suffering a lot more,” Stella confessed. This time she felt only tiredness, which surprised her since she was much more affected last time.
RK carefully lifted her up, his face glowing with excitement and awe.

“Put me down,” Stella said, patting him gently on the shoulder. She was a little embarrassed, noticing the people in the aisles. Her face flushed.
RK gently set her down, took her hand and they left the office.
He drove with extreme caution, fearing that any distraction might frighten Stella.
Stella watched RK’s beaming expression, saying nothing. She knew he was immensely happy, though she couldn’t find the words to express it.
As she looked at her belly, Stella thought that if it hadn’t been for Mrs. Kingston, she probably wouldn’t have discovered her pregnancy until her belly began to grow.
RK didn’t stop smiling the entire ride home. Even when they got home, the smile on her face didn’t fade.
“Rene, how is it, is everything okay?” Mrs. Kingston asked as soon as they walked in.
“Yes,” Stella replied with a smile, looking at RK, who was still wearing her shocked expression.
“I told you! Come on, don’t just stand there,” Mrs. Kingston urged them inside, worried about the cool wind.
The family gathered in the living room, all waiting for news.
When they saw the smile on RK’s face, they knew the answer before he said a word.
Ruben looked at RK, realizing that this time he seemed more mature, more stable.
“Honey, do I have another sister?” Adrian got up from the couch, ran over to Stella and asked eagerly.
Stella nodded, and Adrian smiled broadly.
“I have two younger sisters!” Adrian hugged Stella and kissed her excitedly.
“Stella, are you tired, do you want to go upstairs and get some rest?” Mrs. Kingston asked with a smile, seeing that Stella looked a little exhausted.
Stella nodded, feeling tired from the excitement of the day.
Seeing that Stella had agreed, RK gently picked her up and carried her upstairs.
“Emily, do you want to rest too?” Mrs. Kingston looked at Emily, concerned for her well-being.
“That’s fine. I don’t feel tired,” Emily replied, shaking her head. She felt no discomfort, and the baby was only two weeks old. There were no symptoms, so she felt perfectly fine.
“I’m going to the kitchen to make soup for you and Stella. I need to make up for it,” Mrs. Kingston said as she got up to go to the kitchen.
Emily looked at Reuben, but didn’t want to be rude. Even though the pregnancy was early, she would accept the soup.
Ruben hugged her without saying anything, understanding that even if she didn’t want it, it was necessary for the baby to grow up healthy and strong.
…
“You can sleep for a while,” RK said softly as he laid Stella on the bed, placing his hand on her belly tenderly.
“Silly, it’s only been two months,” Stella couldn’t help but smile at how careful RK was, even though she knew he was taking every detail very seriously.
“I’ll stay by your side every day, waiting for the birth of our daughter,” RK whispered, determined to be with her every step of the way.
Stella nodded, relaxing in RK’s arms, and soon fell asleep.
RK looked down at her sleeping face with a look of pure adoration. One hand rested on her belly, the other gently caressing her face. And there he lay, watching her, happy that his life was about to change once again.
