Chapter 267:.
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
After a night of dealing with the media problem, despite their statement clearing everything up, the internet rumors seem to have grown. They worked past midnight and only then were they able to leave work.
Hayden and Dante walked down the stairs side by side, Benjamin had been waiting for her at the door for quite some time.
After seeing Benjamin, Dante nodded his head by way of greeting and said to Hayden, “Well, I’m off. Take care of yourself.”
“Okay, thanks for your hard work.”
“Don’t mention it, but these two days, I suggest you be very careful. Get someone to go with you whenever you go out. Cyber violence is no joke.” Dante had been through this, so he spoke with empathetic concern.

Hayden nodded to what he said, “Don’t worry.”
When he got home, he saw that the living room light was on and the house was quiet.
Not long after Hayden opened the door, Joseph came out of the children’s room.
“Are they asleep?” Hayden asked absently.
Joseph nodded, “Yes. How are they getting along?”.
“You knew everything?”
Hayden put down his wallet, changed his shoes and went to the kitchen to pour himself some tea.
Even people like Joseph, who never surf the Internet, knew everything that was going on, that meant it was something really important.
“It was hard for me not to know. I heard that immigrant workers at the Downey Group were causing trouble again. The Downey Group was down the street from the ST Group, how could I not know about it?” Benjamin explained and sat down on the couch.
Joseph looked at him and followed Hayden into the kitchen to help her.
They poured three cups of tea and placed one in front of each of them.
The three of them sat around the coffee table.
“How’s the investigation going?” Joseph asked. He looked directly at Benjamin.
At the sight of him, Benjamin frowned, “What investigation, how do you know I’m investigating?”.
“First of all, you just submitted an offer to the Joann Group, then someone immediately exposed negative things about Hayden. Then, right after the internet discussion was controlled, someone immediately exposed the relationship between the Downey Group, Hayden and Green Lemon Clothing. If it is said to be a coincidence, it would be too much of a coincidence.”
Joseph had a keen eye, so naturally he could pick up on all this.
“Since you’re so smart to think all this through, why didn’t you warn Hayden?” Benjamin deliberately narrowed his eyes at him, waiting to see what he would say.
“You may be able to stop them from using this matter to create of rumor, but you still can’t stop other things from happening. It’s better a small loss than a long grief, it’s better to face this problem when you’ve just started your business. It will be worse if you face them after you have built your whole business.”
“Why don’t you say there is nothing to fear if you have nothing to lose?”.
“Instead of wasting your time playing word games with me, why don’t you tell us what you’ve really found out.” This was indeed Joseph’s style. He could always steer the situation with a few words.
Although Benjamin was not convinced, he knew this was not the time to play games. He spoke solemnly, “When Hayden wrote to me, he was already at the door of the meeting room and had already set up a microphone in the bathroom. This recording is of a call from Campbell.”
As he said this, he placed a USB stick on the desk. “Later, I reconstructed what the person had said the other person based on the signal waveform. The match was about 90%.”
“Just tell me, what’s the problem you found?”. Hayden didn’t listen to the recording, time was flying, she didn’t have time to compare it bit by bit. She also believed in Benjamin’s professional ability.
“It was confirmed that Campbell is a spy of Yi-Pai Clothing. If I am not mistaken, the draft of Dante’s design was brought by him to Yi-Pai Clothing. I guess he wanted to leave the company a long time ago, but now there are only two chances not to leave now.”
“What odds?”
Benjamin let out a throat clearing sound, and just as he was about to show off his professional analytical skills, Joseph’s voice sounded next to him, “Maybe he was taken to Green Lemon Clothing by the Yi-Pai Clothing people so they could spy on your plans. Or maybe the people at Yi-Pai Clothing got cold feet and have no intention of keeping their promise to you.”
“Hey, you stole my line.” Benjamin looked annoyed at Joseph, “Are you done?”.
“What’s the most likely reason?”. Hayden simply ignored Benjamin and asked Joseph directly .
