In spring, nature gave a radiant appearance, with wild flowers and grasses blooming all over the mountains.

“You’ve never traveled before?” he asked, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind her.

She flinched and almost dropped the spatula. “Let go, I can’t fry my eggs!” she complained.

“Tell me, why haven’t you ever traveled?” he breathed in her ear, causing her ears to tingle.

“I don’t have time, I’ve been too busy!” she said, “And my financial situation doesn’t allow it, so I haven’t traveled. Does that sound corny?”

She wasn’t that hypocritical, but she was worried that he would laugh at her after saying those words, and her body suddenly tensed.

But instead of laughing at her, he felt heartbroken for her and wondered how she had gotten over the past. Although he had 750 million, he did not spend a penny of it, and raised a child alone, who was only picked up by her.

After sending Daniel off to school, William drove Sherry to Hokkaido. By the time they emerged from the airport lobby, the two had become the center of attention.

William’s erect figure alone, along with the aura that emanated from him, was enough to attract the attention of the people around them, especially the women.

Sherry sighed, as the saying goes, beauty is a recipe for disaster. In fact, handsome men are more dangerous than beautiful women.

The handsome man next to her had already attracted the gaze of countless women. On the plane, those women’s eyes were like knives and they couldn’t wait to cut her into mincemeat.

“Susan, won’t you introduce me to them?” Upon seeing William and Sherry, the man raised his eyebrows, and when his eyes landed on Sherry’s gaze, he seemed breathless at her beauty.

His gawking made William very uncomfortable and he possessively embraced Sherry, asserting his ownership over her.

Sherry was also stunned, this man looked too much like Liam! But judging by his age, he looked to be in his fifties.

Could he be Liam’s father, why would he be with Susan?

Susan had no choice but to make the introduction, “Mr. Spencer, this is William Rowland, the president of the Rowland Group, and this is Sherry Murray. William, Sherry, this is my friend, Cohen Spencer.”

At this, Susan lowered her head and her face was a little pale.

Sherry asked with some concern, “Susan, are you okay, why is your face so pale?”

As William and Sherry climbed into a black car waiting for them at the airport, Sherry glanced over and saw Cohen with his arm around Susan.

“Susan and Mr. Spencer seem to have an extraordinary relationship!” Sherry sighed and said, “Is this why Susan and Leon can’t be together?”

“Don’t tell Leon!” William said in a gravelly voice.

“Okay!” Sherry nodded her head.

If she told Leon, she was afraid Leon would get even angrier! But how could Susan be so close to a man so much older than her?

Seeing that Sherry was still thinking about others, William walked over to her and wrapped her in his arms.

“Don’t think about other people’s business, only mine!” his commanding tone startled Sherry, but then he laughed. He really was like a child, so cute.

“What are you laughing at?” questioned William sourly, “You can’t smile like that at others! Especially at men!”

Because it seemed to him that her smiling look was really attractive. When she smiled, there were two hidden dimples on both cheeks that were very charming.

She wanted to keep the dimples as her private collection and didn’t want others to see them.

“So, should I cry?” she asked rhetorically, unafraid of the consequences.

She froze for a moment, and then a devilish smile hung from the corners of her mouth, with a hidden light under her eyes.

How good! Very good, his little girl had no fear of death, and still dared to provoke him.

When they reached the hotel, he must give her a severe punishment.

As he said nothing, she asked again, “Don’t you think it strange? Susan doesn’t seem to be interested in our knowing about her relationship with Mr. Spencer, AND she looked very pale just now!”

“What’s on your mind?” he asked her gently.

“It’s nothing!” She shook her head, suppressing the discomfort in her heart. But his hands tightened around her waist, clearly not intending to let her go easily.
