Sherry opened the door, she saw William showing a bad expression, his eyesight was off and he seemed to have a lot of worries. He was clumsy and had a big bag around his eyes, he looked like he didn’t get enough sleep.

A strong smell of beer could be found on his body, Sherry frowned after smelling it.

Once he entered the room, he pulled Sherry and hugged her. Then, he greedily sought her lips and gave her a lingering, lingering, sweet kiss.

Sherry blushed as she was kissed, but became even more worried, “William, what happened to you? Tell me.”

He looked at her affectionately, “Sherry, let’s get married!”

She was confused, “Didn’t you say you don’t want to be married forever?”

“Let’s get married, let’s get married, let’s get married!” He hugged her tightly and turned everything he wanted to say into one sentence, “I want to marry you, I don’t care, I just want you, I want you! Sherry, I don’t care about anything else, I just want you!”

She was speechless, she didn’t know if she should be moved by him or afraid of him.

Her employer broke her heart, “Ok!”

Her hot tears made her shoulder ache, she felt like there was something blocking her throat. He was confessing and she was shocked, but she was even more worried after being in shock!

“William…” Suddenly she grabbed his shoulder and gave him a look, she could see the tears coming from his eyes.

He looked a little embarrassed, properly because she saw his tears, he wanted to lower his head, but she held his face and his heart broke, “What happened, how many days have you been sleepless, are you drunk?”

He hugged her again, lifted her to the couch and hugged her tightly.

She sighed, “What’s wrong? I promise I’ll marry you, don’t you behave like this, whether you can or not?”.

His employer made her anxious. He looked at her and felt the pain in his heart.

“Sherry, let’s get married, let’s get married now!” She shouted, she seemed to be impatient!

“Okay!” She nodded, he didn’t ask her any more, She could see he was in pain! He hugged Sherry tightly and held her even tighter. He kissed her with enthusiasm and energy, he seemed to use all his strength to kiss her.

She was confused! She lowered her head and not knowing what to do, “William…”

Why did he kiss her once he came in? He even confessed to her and told her he loved her and kissed her, but why did he look so long-suffering? She looked at him in surprise, His kiss made her almost go crazy!

Then, she raised her head and gave him a glance at her forehead, at her flushed cheek, at her moist lips and fair skin, She was so pretty, so kind!

After he bullied her, she kept promising to marry him, but he? He only wanted her!

He didn’t care about the others, he only wanted her.

He wanted to kiss her again, but she suddenly became anxious, “William, what happened to you?”

“Sherry, I’m going to tell the truth,” his voice was full of misery.

“Yes?”

“Before I signed the contract with you, I had a fiancée. However, she lost her chance to be a mother after an accident because of me. My father wanted me to have a son who can become a descendant or else I couldn’t marry her. So I looked for you and you gave birth to Sammy.”

She was depressed, not because of the contract, it was because he said he had a fiancée.

Their relationship must be close that they almost got married! She was hurting, she couldn’t describe her feeling now.

“Well!” Her voice was trembling as she answered him, her heart was so sore she was almost short of breath.

“She’s back…” he said.

His mind emptied.

“Her name is Lucille Mclean, the daughter of the Mclean Group, we’re classmates! She’s a gentle woman, or should I say she was a gentle woman three years ago! She treats Sammy well, like her own son. Lucille and I did not marry then, we have seen many doctors to cure her infertility, but the doctors say it is impossible to cure her. “Sherry! But I don’t want you to experience that kind of thing!” Her voice was bitter and guilty, “I don’t want that!”

“Then?” she asked in a low tone.

She took a deep breath, buried her cheek in his neck. She hugged her head, shuddered in fright.

She was waiting, waiting for him to speak. After a while, he raised his head, showed his determination: “Let’s get married! I don’t want anything, I only want you.”

She opened her eyes wide, gave him an unblinking glance. He seemed to evaluate her words and appraise her feature.

After a long time, she said, “William, where is Lucille now?”

He was stunned and changed his expression, “At the MH Residence! Liam Brooks and Darcy Mclean are taking care of her! Darcy Mclean is her sister.”

“Can I see her?” She asked.

“You didn’t say yes to my proposal!”

“May I see her first?” She asked before he grabbed her, “Let go of me!”

“Sherry!” William yelled, “Please don’t go, it’s scary now!”

“William, come on! You get her, and then take her home. I think she must trust you, so bring her to stay at the MH Residence, that’s the place where you both used to live together, right?”

He was surprised, “How do you know?”

“My gut!” Sherry calmed down, “William, you tell me you love me right now, is it because you don’t want me to misunderstand you?”

“Sherry!” his voice was apologetic.

“Thank you! There’s another meaning behind it, isn’t there?” She said again and hugged him suddenly, she murmured, “You want to marry me and you want only me, but you can’t do it now because you owe another woman in your heart. The woman is suffering now and she needs you! You don’t want me to misunderstand you, do you?”.

“Sherry!” William didn’t expect her to be so smart and be able to guess his thinking right.

“I’ll go take care of her along with you!”

She said, “Don’t worry, I won’t reveal our relationship, Come on!”

William finally nodded.

At the MH Residence.

Liam was so surprised that he instantly stood up when he saw William and Sherry.

“Sherry!” he didn’t expect William to bring Sherry with him, he was surprised.

Sherry smiled slightly, “Liam, where’s Miss Mclean?”

“She’s sleeping now! The doctor has injected her with a tranquilizer,” Liam said quietly and looked at William.

The latter frowned and struggled. Just then, a scream was heard from the bedroom.

Three of them startled, William rushed into the room immediately.

He made his way to his bed, Lucille sat up, “Ah, Will, save me!”

“Lucy, I’m here, I’m here!” William gently comforted her, “Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid, I’m here! I’ll protect you.”

Sherry stood stiffly in the doorway, her heart breaking when she heard William call her Lucy.

When she caught a glimpse of them, she could see a thin woman buried in William’s arms. The woman was shivering, not much fat on her body, only bone remained with a layer of skin.

She looked like an old person, she gave the impression of being 40 years old, no, she looked even older than that!

“Will, save me!” Lucille shouted hurriedly, she grabbed William’s clothes tightly, the joint of her finger was oversized, there was a lot of scarring on the back of her hand, it looked like she had been scalded by something before!

The Mclean Group’s daughter, Lucille Mclean! Sherry remembered the paper many years ago, she was a lovely woman.

Just then, a woman walked in, she showed a cold face but she was pretty. Sherry was stunned, the woman standing next to Liam looked like Lucille back in the day.

She looked at Sherry coldly and said to William, “Brother-in-law, the doctor says if we send my sister to the asylum, she will never recover! You decide.”

“I won’t, I won’t let her go!” William promised.

“Okay, I’ll come back now!” After saying that, Darcy turned her body and left .
