Chapter 109:.
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
As he passed by the revolving door, Keegan unexpectedly crashed into it.
“Whew!”
“Are you all right, Mr. Fox?” asked Sherry with concern.
Keegan’s face reddened a little, he had just been doing some thinking, but he hadn’t expected such a situation to arise. When he had been looking at Sherry’s child and his godfather in front of him, he felt that the smile on his godfather’s face was so innocent and sincere that there was no deception.
He suddenly thought that his godfather also craved affection.

It was a pity he had always been alone!
“Ah, he’s getting red and puffy!” exclaimed Sherry as she held a wet washcloth in her hand.
Then she stood on her tiptoes and covered his forehead with the wet wipe.
“Mr. Fox, do you mind? You can use this as it has a swelling reduction effect as it is cooling at the time.”
Keegan was stunned to see Sherry’s concerned face in front of him. Her small hand covering his forehead made the place where he had been hit no longer hurt.
He was a little embarrassed because he felt his face burning and no one had ever cared about him like this, even when he was badly hurt! Other than his godfather, she was the second person who cared about him.
She was the first woman who had ever cared about him. His hand reached up to catch the towel, but he accidentally caught her hand, and they both froze.
Hum! Hum!
They had both made that sound.
When Cohen turned around and saw the scene where Keegan and Sherry were still dilly-dallying, he lifted the corner of his mouth.
Keegan’s height, 6’4″, was very overwhelming, but when the two of them walked together, it released a good pairing that was one tall and one short, one strong and one weak! He wondered if it was time to find a woman for Keegan, who was his godson.
That man was almost thirty years old, but still single, how could he manage all his needs? As he hugged Dan and walked to the elevator, he thought.
“Mr. Spencer, you are so strong!” Dan let out a chuckle. “You’ve been hugging me for a long time!”
“Hey, kid, you’re so heavy! Tell me, is your father William Rowland?” Cohen, who was nosy, eagerly demanded the information.
“No, he isn’t!” said Dan with some disappointment. “Mr. Spencer, I don’t belong to Mom, I’ve been chosen by her! I’m ignored and unwanted by others!
Cohen was surprised and his eyes widened.
“My good boy, lying will rot your tongue!”
“That’s right! Mom has a son with Mr. Rowland whose name is Samuel Rowland and he is Mom’s biological son. Mr. Spencer, don’t tell Mom that I told her this secret, I think you are a good person to tell, Mom hasn’t seen her son for a long time and she is sad now!”
Isn’t he her biological son? Cohen was stunned and glanced again at Sherry, who looked exactly the same as Dan, how could he not be her biological son?
Sherry was wearing a three-inch heeled shoe. She wasn’t used to wearing high heels and had spent too much time in front of Mr. Cohen to meet all the mall bosses with him, but she hadn’t expected to run into John Rowland.
Sherry was stunned for a moment before nodding slightly when she saw John, who looked very tired. Although he was wearing an impeccable suit, it was hard to hide the drastic change in his face. Sherry and John greeted each other for a while before John’s eyes swept sharply across Sherry’s face.
“Miss Murray, I hope you are well!”
“Mr. Rowland, how do you do!” Sherry merely greeted him before taking the opportunity to leave.
She didn’t know how to confront him and didn’t want to either. She originally thought that seeing someone from the Rowland Group wouldn’t make her heart ache, but she was wrong.
She wasn’t a saint, but an ordinary woman who had lost her son and her lover, and yes, she didn’t know why God had to be so ironic that he had taken her lover from her when she only knew she was in love with him.
Her foot was hurting! Keegan and Dan were chatting about something, but Keegan’s eyes glanced at Sherry from time to time.
As he watched Sherry follow her best man around, he noticed that her smile and Dan’s smile looked alike.
“Mr. Fox, why are you asking me this, why are you as nosy as Mr. Spencer? I thought you were cold.”
Dan didn’t understand why Mr. Fox wanted to ask if his mom was married. Keegan froze and before he could respond, he saw Sherry walk away with her head bowed in disgust and not paying attention to whether there was anyone in front of her.
He immediately guided Dan that way. Suddenly, a tall figure pressed in front of her and a clear male voice was heard at the same time, “Ms. Murray, don’t you even need to pay attention when you walk?”
Sherry was forced to stop and raised her head. The moment she looked up, she saw Keegan, a man holding Dan in his hand.
“Mr. Fox!” greeted Sherry.
“Mom, are you tired?” Dan came over and held her with concern. “You can lean on me to rest first.”
“Whew, Mom will only be older when you’re able to stand her leaning on you!” Sherry smiled as she stroked his face.
“Let’s sit there for a while!”
“Be careful!” Keegan reached over too and naturally held her other arm.
Sherry froze and subconsciously gave a glance at Keegan who chivalrously held her toward the corner couch.
She immediately obliged.
“Thank you, Mr. Fox!”
“It’s better to just call me by my name!” Keegan didn’t like to add a title after his last name.
“And can I just call you by your first name from now on?”
“Sure!”
Sherry didn’t know how long Dan had been with Keegan and was even surprised that he would let an indifferent person like Keegan hold his hand, so it seemed Keegan wasn’t really that cold and indifferent!
“By the way, does your foot hurt?” Keegan’s gaze shifted downward and took a look at his feet.
In fact, he had been watching her, who looked tired all the time as she greeted her best man with an odd walking posture.
“Yeah, I don’t like wearing high heels, it’s too tiring!” explained Sherry embarrassed.
Dan went to get an ice cream and then brought one to Sherry. “Mom, that Cold Man helped me get the ice cream and said it’s nice to eat ice cream in the winter!”
“The Cold Man?” Sherry didn’t understand.
“Oh, it’s Mr. Fox, he doesn’t smile so I call him Cold Man!” Finishing his words, Dan then gave Keegan a look. “Mr. Fox, you won’t get mad, will you?”
“Don’t give Mr. Fox a nickname!” scolded Sherry.
“All right, he can call me whatever he wants!” Although Keegan showed a cold face, his tone was not cold and stiff.
He had now roughly understood that this child had no father and that Sherry was a single mother raising her son on her own and could even raise Dan so well.
It really wasn’t easy for her, and besides, her work was excellent.
Meanwhile, Cohen motioned for Sherry to come over and she immediately got up.
“Sorry, I have to go first, Dan, don’t sneak out! Mom will come back for you.”
“Got it!” Dan sat down on the couch and started eating ice cream.
Noticing Keegan’s eyes following Sherry’s back, Dan said directly, “Mr. Fox, Mom has Mr. Rowland and there’s no way you’re courting her!”
“Mr. Rowland?” Keegan didn’t understand.
“He’s the man who courts Mom!” In Dan’s eyes, his mom was a beautiful woman that any man who came near her might intend to court.
Keegan’s face became colder and more indifferent again. Sherry saw that Cohen was still talking to John and the truth was that she didn’t feel like approaching him at all because she didn’t know how to confront John.
When she saw John, she thought of William and Sammy. At this moment, Sherry’s eyes were deeply intertwined with grief and mourning.
Her heart ached and her eyes filled with tears, she had made others accomplish their goals, but to grieve herself.
Now it was no longer relevant!
Sherry, you have to be strong, the sky hadn’t fallen and it was still there, you can do it!
Taking a deep breath, as Sherry had just finished moving her steps, a waiter suddenly approached with a tray of wine.
Perhaps she was too tired and accidentally broke her foot, and immediately felt a large chunk of coldness seep into her clothes, followed by a metallic sound, the glass shattered and the wine spilled onto her gown.
She froze as she saw her robe turn red.
“I’m sorry, miss!” The waiter apologized in horror.
“Oh, that’s all right!” Looking down at her dress, she felt she was so stupid she couldn’t even wear high heels properly, and for some reason, tears welled up in her eyes.
The waiter became flustered.
“Miss, I didn’t mean to, please don’t cry!”
“What happened?” A deep man’s voice was heard and this made the waiter nervous and startled as Keegan looked at him with his cold expression and sharp eyes.
Looking nervously at the crying woman in front of him, the waiter panicked for a moment as he thought the man in front of him was going to hit him due to the red wine stain on his robe.
“Hmm… Miss… Mind if I…?” he asked in front of her.
“It’s okay, no need!” Sherry shook her head.
“You can go ahead!” Cohen and John, who discovered the situation approached, John frowned and when Sherry looked up, she couldn’t control herself to shed her tears as her blurred vision made her see a face that looked like William.
“Excuse me, I have to go to the bathroom!” Sherry turned and quickly left.
Keegan who saw her tears in her eyes followed her instantly.
“What a coincidence, something went wrong with my assistant, Mr. Rowland.” Cohen smiled and said, “What do you want to talk to her about? I wonder if I can do it for her.”
“Mr. Cohen, forget it! Let’s do it another day.” John said.
“Huh? You’re here too, really, Old Master Rowland?” Dan came running up with an ice cream in his hand and frowned when he saw two men standing together.
“It’s so strange to see them together, one grinning like a fox and the other like a tiger!” Cohen and John were stunned at the same time when this boy spoke.
“Hahahahaha…” Cohen laughed out loud and wasn’t angry at all. “Good boy, are you flattering me like a smiling fox?”
“Mr. Spencer, when you smile and squint your eyes, you just look like a fox!”.
“Haha, Mr. Rowland, in this case, you’re the majestic tiger!” scoffed Cohen.
John’s expression turned cold, was he that serious? This kid sure knew how to make fools of himself by comparing him to a tiger, but he wasn’t angry at all, he just felt like laughing.
“Mister serious, did you lock William up, why hasn’t he been out more?” asked Dan.
