Sherry, however, merely said quickly, “Sir, please don’t bother me again. You have the wrong number.” After saying that, she immediately hung up the phone.

Keegan’s jaw dropped.

Sherry didn’t expect John to let Samuel out too! As soon as he saw Sherry, Samuel pounced on her.

“Mom! Mom! I missed you so much!”

Keegan gasped, his other son! This kid was calling Sherry Mom too?

Dan then looked back at John and noticed what appeared to be disgust in his eyes, “Mr. Rowland, are you really letting Samuel live with my mommy? I thought you didn’t approve.”

John growled coldly, what could he do at that point? He could only compromise and take the next best option.

This woman was not threatened, AND that was all he could do!

“Sherry, take Samuel with you. I’m allowing him to stay with you for a month.” John said coldly, “And have him come back to see me once a week!”

“Ah…” Sherry gasped.

What did Mr. Rowland mean by this? Seeing Keegan and Sherry together made John even angrier.

He pulled Dan and walked back to the door, avoiding Sherry and Keegan, then whispered, “See, that man over there, he’s going to be your stepfather!”

“Mr. Rowland, you’re such a gossip, Mr. Fox is not chasing after my mom! Besides, Mr. Fox is so cool and taller than Mr. Rowland. If my mommy married him, her baby would be tall and strong too, AND definitely stronger than Samuel!”

“Brat, even if you want to find yourself a stepfather, leave Samuel out of it!” John said as his eyebrows drew together. “A good girl doesn’t get married twice. You want your mommy to marry two men, huh?”

“But my mommy hasn’t been married.” Dan said in confusion, “Has she ever been married to Mr. Rowland? Did Mommy and Mr. Rowland ever get divorced?” With that, Dan’s eyes widened with a very skeptical face.

“Boy, whether your mommy’s been married or not, if your mommy’s married to another man, she’s not a good woman. Do you want your mommy to take the blame for that?”

John was, after all, shrewd and scheming.

He had piqued Dan’s curiosity immediately.

“Mr. Rowland, would someone scold my mommy? Wouldn’t that mean that all those ladies who have divorced and remarried are going to be scolded? What’s wrong with not being a good woman? “Mr. Rowland, let’s get this straight! You called me to your house out of the blue, there must be something! But you said nothing last night, and you’ll say nothing to-day, I’m going away!”

“Is William’s company big?” asked John.

“Yes, it’s big. Very big.” said Dan with sincerity. “Last time I saw it. There were very tall buildings.”

“Would you like to have a company like that in the future?”

“Yes! I do!”

“Then how would you like to be the heir to my family?” continued John.

Mrs. Howe gasped! What did the Master mean by this? Was he going to give the Rowland Group to this boy?

“Why?” Dan was puzzled. “That your mother marries William and you take the Rowland surname, become my grandson, take over the reins of the Rowland Group and become president. Pretty cool, huh?”

Dan pouted and shook his head.

“Mr. Rowland, I’m not going to be the president of your group!”

“Uh!” John was stunned as well.

“I’ll only run my own company, not anyone else’s!” said Dan and smiled.

His big eyes curved into a crescent shape.

“When I have a company, I’ll make my mommy the president. Mr. Rowland, by then my mommy will be on the same level as you. You’d better take care of your company! Be careful not to let me ruin it then!”

“You arrogant boy!” John laughed out loud.

He said this as if it were himself over fifty years ago. His laughter immediately attracted Sherry’s attention from outside the door.

Then she realized that they had been standing in the doorway for a long time and she had almost forgotten about Dan, and the feeling of guilt surged through her.

“Mr. Rowland, don’t you believe me?” Dan was still talking to John. “Then wait! Mr. Rowland, you’ll have to live a little longer, Or you won’t see it!”

Sherry sat in the passenger seat and the two children rode in the back.

Keegan drove the car in silence. The two children chattered and cheered. Samuel kept talking like a bird that has been let out of its cage.

“Samuel, it’s Mommy’s fault! Mr. Rowland has promised you’ll stay with me for a month, are you happy?” Sherry’s heart was sour.

She had not expected Mr. Rowland to let Samuel go, but when they had arrived, Mr. Rowland had warned her.

“You are a mother now. You must behave properly and not get involved with other men, OR it will affect the child’s physical and mental development!” Sherry didn’t understand what was going on.

Only later did she realize that John might have misunderstood her and Keegan.

Sherry gasped.

She hadn’t expected Dan to care so much about John, but she felt comforted.

“Does Mr. Rowland’s mom live in heaven like Uncle?” asked Dan.

Sherry shuddered inside. It had been a while since she had been to see Luke and Dad and she couldn’t help but sigh.

This time, she was taking her two sons with her and going to visit their graves together.

Keegan glanced at the two children through the rearview mirror and actually felt a little envious of Sherry.

She had so many relatives, while he only had his foster father. The four of them went to the grocery store to do some shopping before heading back, and as they entered the house, they ran into Celia.

“Celia!” Dan rushed up to her, “Celia, I’ve missed you so much! Why didn’t you come to see me?”

“Oh, Dan, I’ve missed you so much. Come on, give me a kiss!” said Celia as she kissed Dan’s face before releasing him, which made the little guy itch.
