Chapter 130:.
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Sherry felt satisfied tonight. Walking out of the restaurant, she tugged William’s shirt and whispered, “William, don’t do that. You can come back tonight…”
“I’ll do what I say. I’m yours tonight. Don’t throw me out.” Unable to tell if it was a command or a request, William suddenly pulled Sherry into his arms. He hugged her tightly. “Sherry, it doesn’t matter what Darcy says. I love you, and no one can change that.”
After all these years, Lucille was a habit for him, too. The three years he had lived without Lucille had been good. But this woman in his arms made him feel as if he had found a kindred spirit. There were so many things about her that touched him.
She was virtuous, stoic, beautiful and gentle, shy and innocent, everything that fascinated him. And before that, he helped Lucille achieve her goal with tears. All he knew was that she was in his blood and in his bones. When love came, it couldn’t be judged by the time they spent together. Sometimes a moment of love was worth a lifetime of being together.
And after she had given him that moment, he would never want to let it go. He wanted to turn a great moment like that into a lifetime together. Maybe he really was greedy.
For a moment, she felt a little annoyed, and then she nodded, “All right, you’re mine tonight, and no one can take you away!” His lips curved up and he hugged her, “Come on, let’s go home!” The early winter wind was a bit chilly, and Sherry shivered unconsciously.
Realizing she was shivering, he immediately took off his suit and wrapped it around her tightly before hugging her again. His thoughtful gesture made her feel even warmer. And this small gesture suddenly took on great significance. He really was a thoughtful and considerate man.
Sherry smiled immediately. She stood on tiptoe and kissed him on the lips, “Thank you!”.
He froze in surprise at her initiative. He unconsciously touched his lips, then looked down at her between his arms, and smiled happily. If he wasn’t worried about her getting cold, he would have kissed her here. He took her by the hand, climbed into the car and opened the door for her again.
When she was seated, he closed the door again before returning to the driver’s side. The moment he opened the door, her eyes caught the black figure in front of the restaurant and her eyes narrowed slightly before she got into the car without making any stops.
Darcy had watched his figures, had seen him lead Sherry’s hand to the car and had seen him be so considerate of another woman. And the thought that all this had belonged to his sister made Darcy’s eyes grow sharp.
In the morning, William drove Sherry to work himself. Wearing clothes that had been sent to her by a brand-name company the night before, Sherry only felt uncomfortable.
“Is it really okay for me to dress like this?” Sherry never wanted to wear brand name clothes because it was too tiring to wear them.
She just wanted to be invisible when she walked through the crowd, but the clothes he had sent yesterday were still worth a lot of money.
“It’s simple enough as it is! I don’t want people to say my wife is casual. You, my dear, look very pretty and nice for wearing clothes like that.” With that, he came over and said in a low ambiguous voice, “But you look better without it!”

“William, I’m ignoring you!” She pushed him away and got out of the car.
“Sherry!” He got out of the car too. “You need to give this some serious thought, it’s much better to be my secretary than some old pervert’s!”
“William, don’t say that about Mr. Sutton. He’s actually quite nice. I don’t like you talking about him like that.” Sherry pouted.
“I don’t like you defending him!” I was a little jealous.
“I’m going to work!” She ignored his protests.
“I’m leaving, too!” William nodded, “I’ll pick you up after work!” She paused.
“You go take care of Miss Mclean tonight, I’ll be back on my own!”
“I’ll see her this afternoon. I’ll pick you up when I’m done taking care of her. Wait for me.”
I didn’t want to leave her for a moment. I had to find a way to get her to quit no matter what. He was going to keep persuading her after work today. He had stayed with her all night and even during sex, he hadn’t forgotten to ask her to quit, but she had said she wouldn’t have sex with him if he asked her to quit again. How could this be?
“Got it!” she waved and headed toward the building.
William was about to get into the car when he saw Keegan approaching from the other side and, in a few steps, he was standing next to Sherry. He was startled and, oblivious to his image, yelled, “Honey!”
Sherry turned in surprise and her face immediately turned red. Damn it, he was yelling out loud! Was he afraid she wouldn’t recognize his voice? Some of her classmates gasped and gave William a look.
Seeing that Keegan looked shocked, William felt very proud of himself. Then he said in a gravelly voice, “Don’t forget I’ll pick you up this afternoon!”.
He declared his ownership of Sherry in a direct and commanding manner. Delighted with the commotion he had created, William looked at several of Sherry’s companions to ask.
“Sherry, you’re married, aren’t you?”
“Your husband looks like he’s the president of the Rowland Group.”
“He’s so handsome!”
“…”
“Bye, honey!” William got into the car.
The Bugatti slowly pulled away.
Sherry’s face was red. She did it on purpose, And she must have done it on purpose! She smiled at everyone, but didn’t know how to explain it, so she could only walk dejectedly upstairs.
Seeing that she didn’t say anything, Keegan went straight to the elevator. And Sherry didn’t notice him either.
Cohen Sutton didn’t come to work all morning.
Keegan got to his office, knocked on the door and walked in. He saw Sherry.
“Is something wrong?” he was surprised.
“Sherry looks really sick!” Keegan gave her a slightly complicated look.
Sherry’s hand trembled as she held the paper and she spoke quickly, “Keegan, I don’t know her!”
“Sherry, self-deception is just as painful!” After saying this, Keegan turned and walked away.
Sherry’s heart, however, fluttered, She was sick! She looked like she was really sick! Hadn’t she fainted, She’d be fine! Even if she wasn’t well, it had nothing to do with her!
Sherry sighed inwardly and continued to sort through her papers. But she was getting even more irritated inside. Her phone rang. She was a little surprised to see that it was an unknown number. When she answered, she saw that it was Darcy.
“Miss Murray, it’s Darcy, can we meet?” Darcy’s cold, arrogant voice came through in a way that could not be denied.
“Miss Mclean?” Sherry was a bit puzzled, what did he want with her? “I’m working!”
“I’ll expect you at the Seah Restaurant, next to your office, during your lunch break!”
“Ms. Mclean, why do I need to see you?” asked Sherry.
“I’m going to show you something. Perhaps you’d be interested.”
Sherry froze and responded to the appointment anyway.
When Sherry arrived at Seah’s Restaurant, she found Darcy already waiting there!
Sherry walked over and saw her standing there with a cold face.
Darcy was actually a very beautiful woman, only her face was always cold.
“Miss Murray, please sit down!” Darcy held out her hand to gesture.
Sherry stood still and gave Darcy a silent glance, then sat down.
“Miss Mclean, what did you call me here for?” Darcy raised her eyebrows.
“Miss Murray, are you sure you don’t mind what’s going on with my sister and William?”
Sherry looked at her silently, “It’s a personal matter!”
“I thought you were a smart woman and it was smart of you to sacrifice yourself for my sister and William in the beginning. However, I didn’t expect you to make a fool of yourself again!”
Sherry merely laughed.
“Miss Mclean, you only called me to tell me to leave William, didn’t you? What if I say no?” asked Sherry.
“Then I’ll have to give you this thing! Maybe after you take one look at this thing, your resolve will start to waver. After that, maybe he’ll know what he needs, OR he’ll know what you should do!” said Darcy confidently.
Sherry wondered what he was going to show her. Darcy pulled a thick album out of her purse and handed it to her.
“Miss Murray, here are some pictures of my sister and William taken earlier. Take a look at them and you’ll see how much they loved each other. They were the envy of many people as a perfect couple.”
Sherry froze. Glancing through the thick album, she suddenly felt something hit her heart.
So she wanted to show him her old photos! She had the feeling she was going to suffocate. She stood thoughtfully and then smiled faintly.
“Miss Mclean, how do you think I’m interested in knowing William’s past? What’s past is past, there’s no need to keep holding on to it. William’s past is not something I want to know, I just want to know about the present and the future! I’m sorry, Miss Mclean, I must go now!”
“Is that so?” Instead, Darcy stood up. “I’d better go first! I’ve turned in the album. You can throw it away if you don’t want it. But I must tell you that if you don’t want it, you’ll regret it, because after you see it, you’ll realize that maybe this man doesn’t love you as much as you think he does. And perhaps, you will also be a thing of the past!” Darcy’s words sent ripples through Sherry’s heart.
She froze in place.
Darcy curved her lips slightly.
“Goodbye, Miss Murray!”
She left.
Sherry sat back in her seat and glanced at the album. She tightened her grip on the bag and took a breath.
Was she going to give it a look? When you’re in love with someone, don’t worry about their past. The past is the past. Don’t worry about the past. Don’t look at it. Don’t look at it! Sherry lit up in her mind, but….
But if she didn’t look, she would tear up inside. She wanted to know. She wanted to see how in love William had been with Lucille before. The ambivalence made her feel really hateful, and maybe there was a dark demon deep in her heart, too. In her heart, she murmured: To love someone, you have to trust each other, and to love someone, you have to understand each other.
When you love someone, you have to be more tolerant. When you love someone, you have to be broad-minded. When you love someone, you have to pick up your inner vulnerability and complaints. Most importantly, love should be selfless and without regrets, love should be clean and pure, without a trace of impurity. When you love someone, you will do anything for him or her.
Well! It was just a few pictures! He’d like to take a look at them. There was nothing that couldn’t be faced!
“Whatever, I’m going to take a look!” Sherry muttered.
Grabbing the album, she flipped it open.
It blew her mind! Pretty as a fairy, Lucille was smiling gently. She leaned into William’s arms as he held her with his big arms. Their bodies were pressed together and William’s smile was bright.
Tears fell from Sherry’s eyes. When she and he were in Hokkaido, someone wanted to take pictures of them, but he refused. He said he didn’t like taking pictures, but he took many with Lucille. And in all of them, he was smiling brightly.
She stepped back. As she saw more and more pictures she saw them getting more and more intimate, her heart ached. And in the last few, she saw pictures of them kissing deeply. They were so in love and so close to each other .
