Chapter 140:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Ah!” two women shouted at the same time in high-pitched voices.
As Sherry Murray was struggling, she kicked the person who had grabbed her in the crotch. The person bent over in extreme pain and slapped Sherry across her face, “You crazy woman, are you trying to end my bloodline?”
“Ah!” The man screamed, Lucille Mclean startled and her scream grew louder and louder.
She began to look a little out of it, then screamed as she curled up, “Please don’t burn me!”
The tall man frowned, “This woman is a psycho!”.
“Throw her out, I just want this one!” said the man who looked like their leader.
So they grabbed Lucille and threw her out. Sherry was left alone in the yard, she had two slap marks on her face.
She struggled to run but someone was blocking the door, Lucille’s scream was coming from outside. She knew she shouldn’t panic, she shouldn’t.
“What do you people want?” Sherry calmed down and decided to handle the situation peacefully.
Her hands were behind her back, she was giving opportunities to pull out her phone.
All the men were surprised. They didn’t expect that the woman who was screaming right now was starting to calm down.
They scoffed, “Miss, we just want to play with you. It’s been a long time since we’ve had sex with a woman. Now that we are here, we want to have sex with you.”
“You can flirt with any prostitute, I am not the person you are looking for!”
“You are too dirty, we only adore virtuous young women!”
“Aren’t you guys afraid of being punished by the law?” Sherry was a little agitated as she can palm her phone with her hand.

“Rape is not a capital offense! We’ll be free again in a few years! Besides, would you call the police after we’ve raped you? Aren’t you afraid I’ll embarrass you?” One of the men was grinning menacingly and wickedly.
A pair of dirty, smelly hands were reaching toward Sherry’s face, which she turned her face aggressively.
Clank. The phone she held in her hands fell to the floor.
“Damn it, how dare you try to trick us!” one of them yelled and kicked the phone away. One of his hands reached out to Sherry and grabbed the collar of her shirt.
There was a loud ripping sound as her shirt was ripped open, exposing the sweater inside.
“Ah, help!” A great sense of agony spread and engulfed her, silent teardrops falling from her cheeks.
Sherry moved her body. The fullness and engorgement in her sweater had caught the attention of those men blinded by lust. She struggled with all her might. Without the phone, she could only struggle and keep their filthy hands from touching her.
At this moment, she felt she was stupid enough to rush in and find someone on her own. The sky grew darker and darker as her fear grew wider. As she was struggling and screaming for help, someone kicked her in the stomach.
Instantly, her face turned pale and she was overwhelmed by a wave of pain. She almost fainted.
“Ah, it’s painful!” Sherry knelt on the floor as a sharp pain hit her.
A hot gush then flowed between her legs. Sherry felt a wrenching pain coming from her abdomen, she bit her pale lips.
Then she was covered in cold sweat, “My baby, help…my baby…”
“Ah! Boss, it looks like a pregnant lady!” someone shouted. “Damn, why are we so unlucky?”
They stopped ripping and tearing when they saw the woman moaning in agony as she clutched her belly.
“Help my baby…” muttered Sherry as she nearly passed out from the pain.
Bang! The door kicked open! Everyone flinched.
They saw a tall man standing in the doorway. His blue eyes coagulated a sense of indifference that made him appear to be the grim reaper.
“Help me, Reggie!” Sherry only managed to say a few words before she fainted, then fell to the floor.
Blood was still pouring out of her white pants.
Damn it! Reggie pulled a long face, the white pants stained red with blood was a pretty scary scene to witness. There was too much blood, Reggie could feel a sharp pain in his heart.
Darcy and Reggie found this place at the same time, Lucille was just inside the door. Before she managed to say anything, they heard a scream coming from inside.
Reggie asked Darcy to take care of Lucille and kicked the door open, but she didn’t expect to see something like this.
“You’re hurting her!” he yelled in a cold voice and then threw a leg and kicked towards them.
“What the hell, we had no idea she was pregnant! Dude, run, don’t get in trouble!” They blocked the attack and then ran off.
Reggie looked at Sherry who was lying on the ground, it was too late to chase after these guys.
“Sherry, are you okay?” He picked her up and asked in a concerned tone, “Hello!!! How are you now?”
“Reggie, help my baby…” Sherry’s pale lips forced a few words out softly.
Reggie looked up at her in surprise, “You’re pregnant?” Before she managed to say anything, Sherry had already closed her eyes, she had fallen into the boundless darkness. “I’m sending you to the hospital!”
He picked her up and ran outside. Darcy and a special care nurse were comforting Lucille at the same time Reggie carried Sherry outside.
He stared at Lucille, who was wreathed with tear stains on her face. She was showing an expression of bewilderment as well as distress.
“Reggie, why are you here?” Darcy was also a bit shaken.
“I’m sending her to the hospital. I’ll be back for you.” Reggie gave Lucille a deep look and left.
Wherever he went, there were traces of blood on the floor. Blood kicked all the way.
Darcy glanced behind her, she was stunned for a moment. Why was she so badly hurt, would Sherry die?
When William Rowland and his chauffeur found this place, Darcy still couldn’t persuade Lucille. William didn’t know what had happened but was relieved when he saw Lucille.
“Send her back now!” He said as he looked for a phone to call Sherry.
The sky was getting dark, he was worried about her. But, his phone rang in the yard.
William was confused, a bad feeling took over his mind. He walked into the yard and saw his phone lying on the ground, and there was Sherry’s purse. He stared at the yard where no one else was there, then he saw the bright red blood on the ground, now he was worried.
William looked at the blood on the ground. Darkness invaded his vision and he almost fainted.
“Sherry, Sherry!” he cried out in terror, “Why is there blood?”
“Mr. Rowland, That young lady was just sent to the hospital by a man!” the nurse came to tell him especially.
“To the hospital? Is she hurt?” William stared at the blood before him. The terrifying bright red in his eyes had turned to torture and pain in his heart, “Is she all right?”
“Mr. Rowland, that young lady was covered in blood. Her blood is still dripping constantly, you can see her blood everywhere!” The nurse’s eyes turned red as she said that, she had never seen someone bleed so much. She pointed to the bloodstain on the floor and then sobbed, “When that man took her to the hospital, she had already passed out. I have no idea what happened.”
“Ah!” William clenched his fist tightly and pounded madly on the wall.
His eyes were serene as they reflected the crimson red color of blood. Blood covered his fist but he didn’t seem to feel the pain and agony.
“Sir, please stop, go to the hospital. There may still be hope.”
The nurse stopped William from hurting himself. His blood covered fist was badly mutilated, it showed how mangled he was.
“Will he be all right?” whispered William.
It sounded like he was asking the nurse, or asking himself or Sherry.
He stared at the blood red one in front of him. All he felt was the endless chill in his heart that froze all his emotions.
“Young Master!” the driver approached as well, shivered at the sight of the blood. Then he ran to grab the bag and the phone.
“Drive to the hospital!” William moved like a whirlwind, the driver ran anxiously and followed him.
William had never felt such panic. Heavy emotions were pressing on his chest, he was already choking.
Why would she bleed so much? He said he would protect her, but what had he done so far? Why was she letting herself get hurt all the time? Both his body and mind were wounded, he just deserved to die! He felt like all the blood in his body had already condensed. He was trapped in a numbing loop.
All his senses kept repeating the same thing, she would be fine, nothing bad was going to happen. But the insecurity in his heart was constantly expanding, why would there be so much blood?
The terrifying scene of the blood stains reappeared in her eyes. It hurt William’s heart that was almost paralyzed with pain. All along the road, there were mixed emotions in William’s heart.
“Drive faster, I said faster!”
“Yes!” The driver continued to accelerate the car.
The car was hurtling down the road like an arrow and kept overtaking.
Why did he listen to her, why didn’t he take her with him now? Why didn’t he think of her when he was in trouble? Why couldn’t he consider everything thoroughly? He prayed to heaven not to take her away.
He swore he would never let go of her hand again. Even if she hated him, he wanted to lock her away to stay with him forever. He could make sure she was safe. He would never let her leave him again. Once, once was more than enough. He couldn’t let her leave his sight ever again. William’s anguished mind was filled with broken despair.
Why had this happened, it was all his fault! His mind was racing as fast as a racehorse, his injured hand was covered in blood. William’s expression was icy but what lurked underneath was guilt. He would never let the people who hurt him go, he wanted to tear the people who hurt Sherry limb from limb.
If Sherry was safe, he had nothing else to take care of her for the rest of her life.If she was safe!
At the hospital.
When they wheeled Sherry out of the operating room, the doctor told Reggie, “Sir, your wife had a miscarriage.”
Because of the critical situation, they needed a signature to perform the operation. Reggie had no idea about signing his name and pretended to be Sherry’s husband temporarily, “Was she really pregnant?”
“Yes, we didn’t manage to preserve the fetus but the heavy bleeding is under control. She is now weak and needs to recover. Also, the patient is distressed. Sir, please pay more attention to comfort her,” the doctor ordered.
Reggie was stunned, his blue eyes becoming even more abstruse, condensing a mixture of complex emotions.
He was supposed to feel happy because he was William’s son, wasn’t he?
William had lost his son, he should feel happy about that, right? But when he saw Sherry being wheeled out of the operating room with a pale, bloodless face, he began to feel worried. Damn it, her miscarriage was none of his business, why was he suddenly feeling worried? He even left Lucille.
He couldn’t even get a glimpse of Lucille before he got here. He clenched his fist to the side, but he didn’t feel a hint of regret in his heart.
In the living room, Sherry was lying on the bed with blue checkered sheets.
Her face was colorless and indifferent, she was unable to tell her facial expression, it seemed she didn’t even notice the pain in her body. She was like a broken doll, lying quietly with blank eyes.
Her eyes were wide open, but it was impossible to tell in which direction she was looking. If it weren’t for the faint breathing, people might have thought she had already stopped breathing.
