Chapter 178:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Sherry let out a gleeful giggle and found herself sinking into his deep dark eyes.
She felt captivated by those deep eyes. She suddenly blushed and ran downstairs as he pondered.
…
The glass door to the shower stall opened and William wrapped a towel around his lower body. He proceeded down the stairs as he dried his hair with another towel.
Sherry was busy in the kitchen and couldn’t make porridge because it was already quite late. She made a bowl of soup with egg and then cooked two simple dishes. She looked back and saw William leaning against the door. The towel was wrapped around his waist and exposed his robust upper body. His muscles were very well defined and he looked like a model.
She started to blush and asked him, “Why don’t you put some clothes on?”. His beautiful eyebrows began to furrow and he walked over to her. He hugged her. Sherry couldn’t dodge in time and turned off the stove. He started kissing her until she couldn’t continue and begged him to stop, “Let go, the soup is ready.” William let go of her after feeling very satisfied and the melancholy of the day dissipated. As she poured the soup, she hurried him, “Put on some clothes so you don’t catch a cold!”.
He followed her to the dining table, “No need, otherwise I’ll still have to take them off later.”
“You…” She frowned and her cheeks were burning, “Go away!”
He pinched her cheek and relented, “All right, Miss.”
“Who’s your Senorita?” she murmured shyly, which made his heart desire her even more.
He planted a kiss on her lips and went upstairs to put on some clothes. She gave him a look at her body and her face continued to blush. After putting the dishes on the table, she went to the large window and took a look outside into the dark night.
“Dad, are you watching this from heaven? I’m sorry, but your daughter loves him. Your daughter will be happy, Dad, I love you, always.” said Sherry in her heart as she clasped her hands together and closed her eyes.
She hoped that she and William would be happy for the rest of their lives. When she opened her eyes, she saw a person standing outside. The person outside was looking at her with a zombie-like expression.
“Ah…” Sherry screamed in fright and jumped back.
Who did she see, it was Lucille!
“What happened?” William came down as soon as he heard Sherry’s scream.
He saw Sherry standing by the large window, shaking and clutching her chest as her heart pounded. Sherry said nervously, “It’s, it’s Lucille. Why…why is she outside?”

William was also surprised when he saw that it was Lucille outside. Her hair hung down as she stood giving the impression of a ghost in the dark night.
“Why is she here?” William was also surprised.
Sherry gripped William’s hand tightly as she glanced at the clock. It was already three a.m. Why would Lucille show up here?
Her heart was pounding as she asked, “What are we going to do?”
The person outside suddenly moved and smiled. Sherry shuddered as a shiver ran down her back. She gripped William’s hand tightly and asked, “William, why is she here, is it her? I’m afraid.”
Lucille found her place and stood there in the middle of the night. Had she gone crazy? How could she find them? William’s expression darkened as he became alarmed that Lucille knew about this place. She had never told him about this place, how had he found out about it?
“Fear not. I’ll let her in and then I’ll contact Darcy to come get Lucille.” It seemed that was the only thing they could do.
But William’s expression had turned blue with anger. He had guessed that it was Darcy who was to blame for the letter and now it must also be Darcy who was behind this!
“All right!” Sherry nodded.
It was three o’clock in the morning and they had to let her in first. William opened the door and walked toward Lucille. He glanced around and no one else was there, how had she gotten in?
“Lucille!” he shouted.
Lucille suddenly turned and smiled. She was not as frightening as Sherry saw her a moment ago.
She looked at William with wide eyes and then smiled, “Will, I’ve finally found you!”
William was stunned and surprised, “You, now can you recognize me?”
Sherry was startled and gave Lucille a look. Lucille smiled radiantly, “Will, I’ve recovered! I’ve completely recovered! I can recognize you as William!”
William was surprised, “What did you say?”
“I have recovered!” he said again like a person who has just awakened from a long sleep. His eyes were wide open as he declared, “I have recovered from my illness! Will!”
William was even more astonished, “Lucille, how did you get here?”
Sherry was hesitant and had a feeling that was….. Terror! It seemed like a midnight scare to her that Lucille had recovered in one night! But taking a look at her current state, she wasn’t sure she believed she had really recovered.
Right now, Lucille looked like a healthy person who had descended from the sky and had just appeared outside the villa. She was terrified-could anyone recover from such an illness? How could she recover so quickly after only a few days? A series of questions rose in Sherry’s heart as she felt her hair stand on end.
As the three of them entered the villa. Lucille was still clutching William’s hand. Then he took her hand away and then reached out his hand to embrace Sherry.
Sherry was surprised that William didn’t forget that she was present when Lucille appeared this time. He turned to comfort Sherry and said softly, “I’ll call Darcy immediately to come get Lucille.”
“She really seems to have recovered!” Sherry said softly in surprise, “She looks fine now!”
“We can’t know for sure, I’m going to get the phone first!” she said as she started up the stairs.
“Will, where are you going?” Lucille grabbed his hand again.
William slapped her hand away again, “I’m going to get my phone! Lucille, wait a minute.”
“Oh!” Lucille nodded.
From the moment she appeared, she didn’t give Sherry a glance. This made Sherry wonder if she had recovered. She didn’t recognize William before, so how come she could remember him now?
Lucille’s eyes continued to follow William’s rear view as he walked up the stairs. This made Sherry feel very uneasy-what if Lucille kept bothering William?
…
After William went up the stairs, Lucille suddenly turned to look at Sherry. Her gaze threw daggers that startled Sherry.
“Are you Sherry?” Lucille raised her eyebrows.
Sherry was startled by how aggressive Lucille looked and asked, “Miss Mclean, don’t you recognize me?”
Lucille looked at her in fright without blinking. Then Lucille suddenly laughed, which made Sherry’s hair stand on end.
Lucile then said, “I recognize you, of course, I recognize you. You gave birth to a son for Will.”
“Oh!” Sherry felt a shiver and asked, “Do you remember that, are you very well now?”
Lucille approached Sherry and Sherry stepped back. She didn’t know why she was afraid of Lucille but her heart was pounding.
Lucille paused, then looked at her and asked, “Are you afraid of me?”
“No! No!” Sherry shook her head.
She just felt strange. She was afraid she would hurt Lucille if she said she was afraid of her. After all, her mental state wasn’t normal and she didn’t want to agitate her. She just wished Lucille would get better soon. Lucille looked at her and moved a little closer.
She sounded frightened, “Where is the baby you gave birth to, is it dead?”
Her breath touched Sherry’s face, which made Sherry flinch as she replied, “Miss Mclean, how can you say that?”
Her children were very well and alive. She suspected if Lucille had really recovered. How could a normal person say that about other children?
“Aren’t they dead?” Lucille laughed and then sat back on the couch as she looked puzzled, “Oh! That means my baby is dead! My baby has gone to heaven!”
Sherry didn’t understand and was stunned. Her baby? Didn’t she refuse to give birth? Oh lord, what’s going on?
At that moment, William was talking on the phone as he came down the stairs, “Darcy, Lucille is at my house, please come take her!”
“What did you say, my sister has disappeared again?” Darcy asked coolly, “How do I know when my sister went out? How could I have let her go out alone? She had recovered remarkably, but why would I risk her by letting her out? William, what are you implying?”
“Darcy, sisters don’t have to play games with me. You must be the person who sent the letter to Sherry.” William scoffed and smiled with his thin lips, “That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t know if I didn’t pursue the subject. Darcy, don’t be so extreme.”
“What letter? I don’t know anything about it.” Darcy refused to admit and asked, “Where is my sister? Please send her back. I’m out at the moment and can’t get through.”
William said again, “Okay, I’ll send her back! I will never allow anyone to hurt my loved ones. If not, don’t blame me for being heartless!”
Darcy broke into a cold sweat on the other side. William was very angry as he hung up the call. Sherry looked at William as he strode steadily down the stairs.
His tall stature and strong body exuded a commanding presence that made her feel smothered. She couldn’t help but begin to worry when she heard him say that the letter had been sent by Darcy.
Her heart skipped a beat as if she had realized something. So Darcy wanted her to understand William so that she would leave him. She was so foolish that she had almost fallen for that trick. Good thing what her father said brought her to her senses. Otherwise, she might have lost William.
William called Peter: “Come to Villa 15 and help me send Lucille home!”
After hanging up the call, William walked over to the couch and tended to Sherry so she wouldn’t worry. But Sherry couldn’t help herself and gave Lucille a worried look. She felt that Lucille had not recovered.
“Will! Did you make the calls for me to leave?” Lucille said suddenly.
William walked over to Sherry, grabbed her hand and said to Lucille, “It’s too late, you should go home now.”
“Will, I’ve recovered!” came Lucille’s voice again.
