Chapter 179:.
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
William nodded coldly, “Congratulations, Lucille, we’re so glad you’re getting better now!” He purposely said the word ‘we’ out loud, as he wanted to tell Lucille that Sherry and he were together. ‘We,’ he meant him and Sherry.
Lucille was stunned and blinked. Her thin face was full of doubt. Then, she lowered her gaze and turned around. She seemed to be hitting on something.
William and Sherry’s gazes crossed and they also felt suspicious. They had doubts about Lucille, whether or not she had really recovered. At that moment, Sherry’s phone suddenly rang. All three were startled by her ringtone.
Sherry pulled out her phone, realizing it was a call from Reggie. She looked at William and whispered, “It’s Reggie!”.
At the mention of Reggie, Lucille fell silent and stopped talking. Although William didn’t like Reggie, he seemed to have understood something when he called at that moment. He glanced at Lucille. Reggie must have been hitting on Lucille, right? He signaled Sherry to answer the phone.
“Hello, Reggie!” Sherry answered the call, “Yes, he’s here.”
William was right. Reggie really was hitting on Lucille.
Suddenly, Lucille stood up. She immediately ran into William’s arms and hugged him tightly.
“Ah! Lucille, let go!” William tried to pull his hands away, but her arms were clinging tightly to William’s neck. He had no choice but to push her harder, “Let go of me!”
Sherry, who was still on the phone, was shocked for a moment after witnessing this scene. Then, she told Reggie the address of Villa 15 in a steady tone.
“Huhu… Will, don’t take me away! I’m not leaving!” muttered Lucille and suddenly began to cry.
“Let go of me first!” William exclaimed anxiously, his actions a bit awkward.
He looked at Sherry, realizing that she was just watching them silently.
“Sherry, she was the one who hugged me, not me. I really didn’t do anything.”
William’s arms opened and he didn’t dare move. He was afraid Sherry might misunderstand something, so he explained himself. Sherry shook her head as she wanted to laugh at his awkwardness.
Sherry wasn’t closed-minded. She knew he didn’t mean it, but she stifled her urge to laugh and said, “I remember someone saying her breast belongs to me! It looks like someone has stolen it now, and that man…even pushes her away! Well, she must be a beautiful woman, since she felt so reluctant to do it!”
“It’s not that!” William pushed Lucille away this time.
Lucille was pushed towards the sofa because William exerted too much force.

“Aah…” Lucille fell onto the couch and groaned.
William didn’t care about her at all, he said to Sherry, “Honey, I didn’t mean to!”
“I saw that!” Sherry stifled a laugh, “You almost hurt Miss Mclean!”.
“You don’t blame me?” William was relieved, “There’s nothing I can do but this!”
“Of course not, it wasn’t your fault anyway!” Sherry stifled her laughter and whispered to William, “Reggie said she hadn’t recovered yet, but her condition is much better than before! Now he can remember a lot of people and things that have happened to him before, maybe he can really get better!”
William frowned slightly, “He still hasn’t fully recovered yet?”
Sherry nodded, “That’s what Reggie said earlier, he said he’d be here in ten minutes. He’d been looking all over for her! Don’t provoke her anymore.”
As they continued talking, Lucille approached him again. William unconsciously dodged and hid behind the couch. He said anxiously, “Lucille, sit down first. I have something to tell you.”
“No! Will, are you pushing me away?” asked Lucille, “I’m not leaving! I don’t want to!”
Sherry was stunned to see William run around the couch, as Lucille chased him from behind. She thought it was a little funny. She wasn’t jealous, in fact she felt very sorry for Lucille.
Maybe she might have been too crazy that she fell into misconceptions of love, or maybe she really did like William, and if not all of this, maybe it was just that she couldn’t get out of her imaginary love!
“Lucille, stop!” William shouted. His voice grew deep and cold, “Stay there!”
Lucille heard him shout and stopped suddenly. She grabbed his hand, “Will, didn’t you like it when I chased you like that last time?”
Sherry’s heart pounded, Oh, so he liked being chased around the couch like that! William frowned and gave Sherry a worried glance.
He had no choice but to say it in his extremely deep voice, “Lucille, would you stop being so obsessed? We’ve all started a new life! You should face your new relationship too! Reggie’s looking all over for you! If you didn’t like Reggie, how would you have married him? Don’t be like your mother. You are normal and healthy. You shouldn’t be affected by his shadows. Reggie could bring you happiness, you should appreciate him!”
Lucille suddenly stopped talking. She calmed down and muttered, “Reggie! Reggie?”
Sherry suddenly felt sad for this woman, who exactly did she love, William or Reggie?
Sherry glanced at her phone. She felt Reggie was pitiful, but at the same time she thought he was a great person.
How many men in this world could still be so concerned about their ex-wife after having had the same experience he had? Sometimes, love was bound to haunt his partner’s heart without knowing it. Only a few could realize the joys and sorrows of it. It became more affectionate as they experienced more hardships together, but some loves could not go through the storm.
To love, or be loved, must be done with the right person. A one man show was bound to be sad and dreary. I really hoped Lucille would come to her senses and not miss her chance with Reggie…..
“Miss Mclean, Reggie is looking for you. I don’t know who he really wants, you’ll have to ask his own heart. You should ask him, do you want Reggie? If you do, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please! Don’t wait until you regret everything!” Sherry told her calmly, “I hope you can face your inner feelings.”
Lucille remained silent. Her eyes suddenly turned red as she murmured, “Reggie…”
At that moment, someone knocked on the door outside.
William was startled before he opened the door. It was Peter, “You came so fast, Peter!”.
Sherry glanced around and saw Peter. She was a little confused. She couldn’t help but think back to six years ago….
Also, she remembered that William had said there was no manager at the Rowland Group with the last name of Mollison, and she looked at William. William understood his look. He felt a little guilty and said, “Sherry, Peter is a good friend of mine, and he’s also a very capable assistant to my company! He’s just in charge of overseas affairs.”
Peter first greeted William before turning his attention to Sherry. Then he smiled and said, “Miss Murray, I’m so sorry! I had no choice but to do it last time.”
Sherry merely nodded, “Hello, Mr. Mollison!”
“I’m here to pick up Miss Mclean and send her on her way!” Peter was still putting on a bright smile and his gaze fell on the quiet woman on the couch.
He was slightly surprised, but managed to calm down in an instant. “That’s not necessary. Someone will pick her up.”
William patted Peter’s shoulder, “I’m sorry I called you for nothing. I’ll let you go for a day off tomorrow.”
“Someone?” Peter was a little puzzled. Then someone knocked on the door again.
“Hey, Reggie’s here!” said Sherry. Peter stared at the woman on the couch, then looked at Sherry who went to open the door.
She turned to William and said, “Mr. Rowland, I’m just leaving. Let me know if you need anything.”
William nodded, “Go ahead!”.
Peter went to the door and met Reggie, who had just entered the house. They nodded to each other in greeting.
Reggie glanced at him again as he approached. He frowned, but said nothing.
Peter said to Sherry, “Miss Murray, I wish you happiness.”
“Thank you!” gently replied Sherry.
Peter left. Sherry watched Reggie standing in the living room, giving Lucille her calm eyes.
“Lucille, Reggie has come to pick you up!” reminded William.
Lucille lowered her head even further.
Reggie walked over to the couch and took Lucille’s hands. Stunned, Lucille said softly, “Reggie, tell me. Am I particularly dirty?” her heavy words were heard by all three of them.
Reggie’s body stiffened, “Of course not! You’ll always be the purest, cleanest woman I’ve ever known.”
“No! I’m dirty, why have you still come after me?” Lucille withdrew her hands and covered her face as she said, “I’m so sorry!”
“Let’s go home!” Reggie said nothing and hugged her.
Lucille also stopped talking and leaned into Reggie’s arms.
Reggie turned around, looking at William and Sherry, “Don’t worry, she still needs some time to recover. I’m sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
Sherry shook her head as she felt a little touched. The moment Reggie said ‘let’s go home’ to Lucille, her heart felt warm. It turned out that in this world, love could be such a beautiful thing. Reggie’s love for Lucille was so pure and touching. When Lucille left with Reggie, she was still stunned.
“They’re long gone!” William’s voice became deep.
Sherry regained her attention and gave him a dismayed look, “What’s wrong?”
She hadn’t expected William to reach out his long arm and grab her by her small waist. He then aggressively pulled her into his arms.
“You can’t give Reggie that kind of look!” he approached her with his cold face and accused her….
“How did I look at him?” his warm breath dispersed in Sherry’s sensitive ear, making her scratch vigorously.
However, she didn’t understand what he said. “As if you admired it!” He said in a deep voice, and his words sounded like a trap.
“Admire?” Sherry was stunned, and gave a very innocent look, “I did not!”
“I could see your eyes!” He continued to accuse her as he felt a flame rise in his chest.
“William, aren’t you being too overbearing? I don’t realize there’s anything wrong with my giving Reggie. I’ve always been firm about it, I know who my heart wants!” Sherry pouted and whined, but her eyes filled with happiness as she looked up at him.
William looked into her eyes and gave her an intense stare. He was pleased to see her clear mind through her eyes, “That’s better!”
“Are you jealous?” she asked.
“No, I’m not!” he muttered and his handsome face gave a dejected look.
She didn’t know what his tone meant, but his denial made Sherry a little uncomfortable. Sherry muffled her voice as she felt a little embarrassed. She pushed him away and said gently, “Come on then…the food is getting cold.” She was already walking toward the dining room table.
William’s cold, handsome face suddenly transformed into a smile. He moved quickly and approached her. He held her wrist and asked, “Are you angry?”
“No, why should I be angry?” She quickly muttered, “Let’s eat, I’m very sleepy!”. It was already four o’clock in the morning.
“Are you disappointed that I’m not jealous?” He tugged her hand and stopped her from dodging.
