Chapter 180:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“What the hell, you’re being so unreasonable!” Sherry Murray shuddered. And after a sustained confrontation, he gritted his teeth and said, “Aren’t you at all concerned about your first love?”
He looked at her and smiled, “I only care about you!”.
He pulled her into his arms, and in a trance, his strong arms wrapped around her tightly. Sherry could smell the faint scent of shower gel on his body, no tobacco smell. The smell she missed, and the warm embrace she couldn’t forget.
Thinking that Lucille Mclean had just hugged him, she pouted as she struggled in his arms, “All right! Aren’t you going to America tomorrow?”
“Mmm! No, we’re going to America! You’re going to follow me.”
“No! I have to take care of the children here!” Sherry raised her head. “The two children are worried about what has happened in the last two days. It’s been a while since I’ve been with them. I should spend some time with them now.”
“I can’t! They’re following me to New York. We’ll be back in three days.” He announced domineeringly.
“No!” Sherry shook her head. “I can’t be such a selfish mother! I need to spend time with them too!”
“Stay with them for the vacations coming up!” said William Rowland.
“No! You go by yourself – and we’ll get married when you get back!” Sherry felt guilty that she hadn’t been with her children for a long time.
“What?” he deadpanned, his full attention on her, feeling unbelievable. He seemed to be talking about his marriage. “You just said…”
Sherry smiled and gave him a calm look. “You’re not going to marry me?”
“So you’ve agreed to marry me?” He gave her a surprised look.
“Yes!” She nodded her head earnestly.
“Let’s get married! William Rowland!” He bowed his body slightly excitedly and hugged Sherry tightly.
“Darling, I should be the one to propose to you, but you did it first.”
His husky voice had touched her heart. Sherry’s eyes filled with tears. There were no limits to loving someone. Right now, she didn’t want to let go.
Liam lowered his head to kiss her beautiful face sympathetically. He rested his head on her shoulder, smelling her fragrance.
He said in a deep voice, with a childlike yet commanding sense, “But I like you to say marry me!”
Sherry smiled, and Lucille was almost ready – Sherry and William could stop worrying!
William awoke refreshed at nine o’clock in the morning. He felt something soft and silky pressing against him. William froze when he saw that it was Sherry lying on top of him.
He felt surprised to have woken up in such a position in the morning. Her black hair covered his neck and her face was on William’s bare chest.
William still felt refreshed after having slept for only a few hours. They had finally made up and it was all over. He sketched a faint smile unselfconsciously with tender affection welling up in his heart.
He reached out to hold her naked body. Sherry’s soft, smooth skin was driving William into a trance.
Finally, unable to control himself any longer, he lifted her chin and kissed her on the lips.
Sherry, who was still sleeping, was as if having an erotic dream. In a moment of surprise, she felt something fill her. She hummed in a daze after feeling the slight pain and pleasure.
William smiled, giving Sherry a glance. He held her hips gently as he pen4tracted her. He could still sleep in this unexpected situation.
Sherry shifted her body feeling sore, and moaned softly again. The hot, erotic scene of her and William from the night before was still in her head. Opening her eyes, she saw a large handsome face.
“Ah…” She startled and then woke up, struggling to pull away.
But William grabbed her around the waist, letting her lie on top of him, and she jerked. Sherry caught her breath, screaming, “William Rowland, you pervert!”
“Honey! You’re the one lying on me! You get what you want!” William had no shame, not letting her move.
“You… Nonsense!” Sherry was coy, covering her eyes. “You didn’t even have my consent…”
William felt amused and grinned wickedly, “Honey, you were liking me so much!”
“Let me off!” She struggled, pleading with him.
He pulled her head down. “No…”
When it was all over, Sherry covered herself under the comforter, feeling embarrassed to look at him as she sullenly recalled, “Why aren’t you leaving yet? You’re late for your flight.”
“Leave it!” William gave her an amused look. Sherry was still shy after so many times. “Well, come on out, don’t get stuck inside!” after saying this, he went into the bathroom.
Sherry then slipped out of the blanket when she heard the sound of water running out of the bathroom. She picked up her clothes and put them on, ready to go downstairs. But then, a pair of strong arms embraced her from behind.
“Ah… Hurry up! You’re already late.” Sherry glanced at the time, and it was already 11 o’clock.
“I won’t let you go! Let go!” He spun her around, facing him. “Come with me!”
“No! I’m staying home with the kids. I need to find Celia too! I can’t lose this friend!” Sherry said.
As she said it, her phone suddenly rang!
When William left for a business trip to New York.
Before he left, he urged Sherry to take care of herself. She apologized for not sending him to the airport, as she was delighted to receive Celia Hickman’s call.
William was sympathetic and so did not ask her to send him.
At the cafe.
Sherry ran into Celia, who seemed to have lost a lot of weight.
Sherry blamed herself when she saw Celia, “I’m sorry, Celia!”. Celia looked at Sherry, not saying a word. Sherry was anxious. “Are you still angry? I didn’t mean to hide it. I just don’t know how to tell you.”
Celia kept turning it over, not speaking. Sherry looked at Celia warily, but refused to meet Celia’s eyes.
Sherry felt guilty. She was afraid of losing Celia as a friend. She was very disturbed that she was not speaking at all. After a moment, Celia burst out laughing.
“Celia!” Sherry groaned.
Celia patted Sherry’s shoulder. “You thought she was still angry? I was very angry at first, but not now! It would be a shame to break up with you after so many years of friendship. But really, I’m missing both of your children.”
“Really?” Sherry gasped. “You’re not angry anymore?”
“You think I’d be that petty?” Celia frowned.
“Ah! Celia, I knew you wouldn’t be so mean!” cried Sherry as she ran to hug Celia. “Ah, this is great, I’m finally relieved that you’re not mad at me!” Sherry could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Celia was also hugging Sherry tightly. The shouts of the two women had attracted the attention of all the guests in the cafe, “Look. Everyone is looking at us.”
Sherry fell silent, looking around, and realized that there were a lot of people watching them. Her face turned pink.
“Sit down!” they both sat down.
Sherry hastened to explain, “Celia, I was surprised to hear about that affair too. I was going to tell you but I don’t know how to open up. Thank you so much for your forgiveness.”
Celia shook her head, “Sherry, I thought about it. Leon and Susan were not meant to be together. Love is destiny. Without fate, the two of them would never be in love.”
Sherry was silent as well. Luck and fate brought two people together at the right time and place.
“My mother told me Leon was always going to the Jones’ lately, but Ashley keeps ignoring him!”
“Wrong!” Sherry then thought about Ashley Jones being pregnant.
She wasn’t sure if Celia would be mad if she didn’t tell her. But if Sherry told Celia, that would be breaking her promise to Ashley. Sherry was now depressed.
“Do you have something to hide from me?” Celia’s gaze rested on Sherry’s guilty face. Celia knew well that Sherry wasn’t good at lying.
“I…” Sherry was torn for a moment. And she nodded, gritting her teeth: “I am indeed keeping something from you, Celia. But I’ve promised not to tell anyone.”
“Something about Leon, isn’t it?”
“How did you know?”
“You were on the edge of your seat when I talked about Leon. Is it something about Leon and Ashley?”
Sherry sighed deeply, “Celia, I can’t tell you…. But… I really hope Leon can be together withAshley now. Ashley is a good girl. No matter what happens, they belong together! Let’s help them!”
“Sure! I was thinking about that. My parents like Ashley too. Leon was always going to their house lately. But something had happened with the Jones Family…”
At the talk of the Sierra Anderson and Payne Jones affair, Sherry turned pale, feeling dejected.
“Forgive your mother, Sherry. She’s had a hard time after all these years. She looks fine on the outside, but in reality she was devastated. That kind of life was uncomfortable for her too.”
“I’ve stopped blaming her!” Sherry sighed, “What a poor life she had!”
“Well, now there’s only Ashley left in the Jones Family. It’s a shame for her to keep such a big family business going.”
Sherry thought about Ashley being pregnant and still having to take over the business. She also felt sad to think of herself being pregnant at the time.
She felt alone and helpless, with only Celia as a friend. She gritted her teeth and suddenly asked, “Celia, had Leon really been looking for Ashley?”
“Yes!” Celia nodded. “Maybe he didn’t have feelings for Ashley. Seeing that he was distracted, maybe he still couldn’t accept that Ashley kept ignoring him! We’re all hoping he can start over!”
“Then let Leon propose to her soon!” Sherry said.
Ashley’s belly would be growing later, and she might not be able to give her wedding dress a good look by then.
Celia smiled, “Anyway, I can’t make this decision. It’s Leon’s business. Who knows.”
On the other side.
Leon Hickman was back at Ashley’s house. The butler saw him and immediately said, “Mr. Hickman, Miss Jones has gone to the office!”
“Uh! Isn’t she feeling well?” Leon was worried, “Why has she gone back to work again!”
The butler glanced at Leon and said, “What to do if she doesn’t go? The shareholders’ meeting has been called and there is no one to chair the meeting but Miss Jones. It’s hard for her to support the family at such a young age.”
Leon’s heart ached, “Is she feeling better now?”
“Still the same. She’s always throwing up and lately she seems to have an upset stomach,” the butler said.
“Then I’ll look for her in her office.” said Leon nervously.
Ashley had refused to meet with him. Every time Leon came in, Ashley was always sleeping or feeling unwell.
He went in several times and checked on Ashley sleeping.
Leon thought she was exhausted and always wanted to sleep.
So he didn’t think much of it .
