Chapter 194:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Lucille Mclean’s face was haggard, her cheekbones lighter on the face that now looked quite thin, but she was calm and relaxed.
“Maybe when she goes to heaven, she’ll be happy and not bound by the knot in her heart. There’s nothing wrong with feeling relieved like that! Liam, what I want to tell you is that night in the H-Town hotel suite six years ago, the person you were with was Sarah Brooks, not Darcy! Also, Sarah gave birth to a child, and the child is yours. But I don’t know where the child is. The child was taken by Darcy, and I really don’t know where the child has gone, Excuse me!” There was like a buzzing in his brain, and Liam Brooks was confused.
“What?”
“I’m telling you the truth, don’t doubt what you’ve heard. That night it was Sarah. Everyone was drunk during the party and Darcy drugged you. Sarah then helped you into the suite and never came out. Darcy kept watch outside. After dawn, Sarah snuck out, trying to escape. Then, only Darcy went inside. That was what had happened. Later, Sarah thought about it and went back to the suite, but saw you and Darcy lying naked on the bed when she came in. You know what happened next.” Liam’s heart was astonished.
“Was that Sarah that night?” No wonder Sarah looked at herself with such sadness in her eyes, and no wonder she looked so angry when she saw Liam lying in bed with Darcy asking her to be responsible.
Is that why she left home three months later for a year, and no one knew where she had gone for a year? It turned out she was pregnant – his child?
“Sarah is pregnant with my child, and the child was stolen by Darcy? Can’t you find it?” Liam gave Lucille a look of disbelief.
She nodded guiltily. “Forgive me for not telling you until now! I’ve been so caught up in my own grief that I didn’t think of anyone else, so I didn’t tell you until now!”

“Why didn’t Sarah tell me when she was pregnant with my child?” Liam felt heartbroken, “Why didn’t she tell me?”.
“You should go find her!” said Lucille anxiously. “It’s not Darcy who let you down, it’s me who let you down!”
That was the reason she had taken a bullet for Liam so fairly. It was all because his conscience was convicted.
“I’ll go get it now!” Liam turned fiercely and ran for the outside.
Reggie grabbed Lucille’s hand and her teary face made him known. “Reggie, it turns out that doing good makes one feel good and purified. Thank you for not abandoning me so I can continue to feel the joy of happiness.”
Reggie gave her a look and shook his head. “It is you who has opened up. Get well, and when you’re well, we’ll go to France!”.
“Okay!” Lucille grabbed his hand tightly.
Liam, who was running wildly, ran into William Rowland and Peter Mollison, who hurried over.
William took one look at the pale Liam and stopped him. “Liam, what’s the matter?”
“I’m going to find Sarah!” Liam hastily blurted out the words and hurriedly ran for the elevator.
His mind was filled with Sarah’s sad face, and even when she gave him a smiling look, there was always an inexplicable sadness in her eyes. He could even feel her despair that always faded. Oh my God, she had given birth to a child! What had he missed? How could he have been so careless? How could he have ignored her all these years?
Brooks’ house.
After going inside, before changing his shoes, Old Mr. and Mrs. Brooks were already asleep. Liam went to Sarah’s room on the second floor. But when he opened the door, no one was there.
He ran to his parents’ room and, without knocking, pushed the door open with a shout.
“Dad, Mom, where’s Sarah, where is she?” Joshua Brooks was asleep when his son woke him; his temper rose, “What are you messing around in here at this hour?”
The elder Mrs. Brooks also awoke and glanced at her son in confusion. “What’s wrong?”
Liam’s expression was on the verge of tears at this point. “Mom, Dad, where’s Sarah?”
“Sarah said she went to the Jones’ house and stayed with a friend named Ashley for the last few days. It seems she’s working as Miss Jones’ secretary at the Jones Group. What’s going on?” the elder Mrs. Brooks asked.
“Dad! I want to marry her!” said Liam earnestly.
“How come?” roared Joshua. “She’s your sister!”
“She’s not my biological sister!”
“She’s still your sister even if she’s not your biological sister. It’s always bad to talk about her!” Joshua had never wanted his son and daughter to marry.
That’s why, over the years, he had always hinted at his son and daughter not to be together. He was old-fashioned and very stubborn. And as a result, Liam was almost always repulsed, feeling that it really was like incest, as his father had said.
“I don’t care! Sarah had given birth to my son. We were careless not to know, the baby was lost because of you, because of me. She never told us, Dad. Whether you agree or not, I’m going to marry her. Please don’t get in the way.”
He felt like a heartless man who had let a woman down. He felt like a sinner. How could he confuse her? He didn’t even know who she had slept with. How miserable must Sarah be?
“I’ll go get her!” he went after shocking his parents.
“Joshua, that’s why I felt Sarah was different. No wonder she’s been missing for a year, it turns out she has our family’s offspring, and the child is missing! What can we do about it?” Said the elderly Mrs. Brooks and burst into tears. “It’s all your fault. You’ve been forbidding them to do this and that all day long, and the children didn’t dare tell us when something happened. It’s all because of you that I can’t be a grandmother anymore. I want to divorce you. Joshua, you are the heartless villain. You’ve lost all your brothers, sons and daughter. Go to hell. I don’t love you anymore!”
…
Jones House.
Ashley moved to a new residence, she didn’t want to live in the shadow of her father and Sierra’s death. The villa is not far from the Sutton Family residence. It is only separated by two areas of the villa.
This also allowed her to meet with Sherry Murray often. Since Ashley has no other family members, she treated Sherry as her own. And after that night of singing at KTV, Ashley and Sarah became good friends. The newly graduated Sarah was convinced to join her company.
Now, the two had become best friends and always went together, as if without the man, they could have happy days too.
“If you keep on not sleeping, I’m afraid that when the child is born, he will have dark circles under his eyes like you. He’ll ask for a plastic surgery operation to remove the dark circles under his eyes.” Sarah drank a glass of milk and that said helplessly to the woman watching a Korean drama on the couch.
Ashley immediately laughed. “After watching this part, I’m going to bed right away!”
“I’m going to bed now. You hurry up too! We have a meeting tomorrow, AND you can’t be late as chairman!”
“Got it! I have to be cool at work, but at home I have to relax, Or I really won’t be able to live!”
“Then let your heart grow stronger. There’s no problem. Everything will pass. it’s okay to live without dawn and money if we are strong enough! Woman, get strong!”
Sarah clenched her fist and struck a pose, causing Ashley to laugh. “Sarah, are we too heartless?” asked Ashley after laughing.
“A woman who doesn’t sleep at three o’clock at night still has such a vigorous life. You know why.” Sarah plopped down on the couch and raised her eyebrows.
“Why?”
“Hot!” Sarah giggled, “It’s because of the loneliness, hahahaha.”
“You’re the one who’s hot! Hahahaha.”
“Yes! I’m hot!” Sarah laughed, but there was no laughter in her eyes. There was even a glint of sadness. “I’m not going to keep you company. Looks like I’m not as hot as you. I don’t have as much energy as you. I’m going to sleep.”
“Screw you! I’m going to sleep too.” Ashley was amused and laughed. “Life is the same without a man, why should I have fantasies about a man? Humph! No way!”
Liam had a hard time finding Ashley’s new residence. In the middle of the night, the two women were about to go to bed when they heard the doorbell ring.
“It’s not a burglar, is it?” Ashley panicked.
“What are you afraid of? It’s not like we don’t have bodyguards.” As she said that, the bodyguard came in.
“Miss, a gentleman, named Liam is outside looking for Miss Brooks!”
“Liam?” Sarah’s face went pale, “What is he doing here?”
Wasn’t she getting married?
“Sarah, it’s me. Come out, Sarah,” Liam shouted from outside.
Sarah shook her head.
“You go tell him I don’t want to see him, tell him to go away; we’re already asleep!”. The bodyguard nodded and went outside.
“Sarah, do you really not want to hear what he has to say?” Ashley was a little worried.
Sarah raised her eyebrows, sighed and said, “Leon Hickman comes in every day, and I don’t see you listening to him. We’re different. He’s getting married, and as long as it’s not me, Dad will be happy. I’ll see him at the wedding anyway. I’ll smile and wish him well. Nothing can beat me.”
Watching her determined face, Ashley shook her head, “Maybe love really is confusing to those in it, and being out of it is really sobering instead!”
“Sarah, get out, I’m not leaving until you get out!” shouted Liam.
“Oh no, you won’t leave. You’ll wake the others,” Ashley called.
Sarah gritted her teeth. Her eyes glanced at the door and then at the clock.
It was three in the morning.
“I’m going out! You go to sleep. Pregnant women can’t stay up late.”
Sarah went out. Seeing Liam standing in front of the door, he seemed extraordinarily excited when he saw her leave.
He stood up in the distance and said in a soft voice, “Go away!”.
“Sarah!” Liam shouted in a low, husky voice. The voice seemed to have complex, agitated emotions.
Sarah was stunned, not understanding why he was like this. Suddenly he stepped forward, reached over and hugged the confused Sarah tightly.
It was really Sarah.
“Let go of me!” spoke Sarah casually as if her body was about to be strangled by him.
She used to crave such a tight embrace. She forced herself to smile and think that he would fall in love with her.
So she could only hide in a corner to comfort herself, that was an indescribable sadness and despair, as a person who had been about to die once, she already felt numb to it.
“Sarah, I let you down!” The low voice was choked with a sob.
Liam closed his eyes, not to let anyone see his vulnerability at that moment, “Sarah, I made a mistake!”
Sarah’s heart squeezed, somewhat surprised by Liam’s appearance at this moment.
