Chapter 210:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Isn’t it?” Daniel raised an eyebrow, “That’s how it works on TV!”.
“TV shows are poisoning your young mind! Since you’re still a child, stick to watching cartoons.”
“But that idea isn’t so bad!” Liam nodded and muttered to himself, “We already have one child, but she doesn’t agree. If we have another child…”
Sarah yelled, “What are you saying, he’s just a kid, don’t act so childish! Oh, Sammy’s coming down!”
As she spoke, Sherry carried Sammy down the stairs. As soon as they saw their son, they stopped fighting and both pounced on him.
“Sammy.”
“Hello, Mr. Liam and Miss Sarah!” Sammy greeted them politely, but still clung to Sherry’s hand.
Seeing Sammy depend on Sherry made Sarah uncomfortable and filled her with guilt.
Sherry noticed Sarah’s feelings and said, “Don’t worry, it will all get better in time!”
“Sure!” Sarah nodded enthusiastically.
“Come on, Sammy, let’s see what goodies Liam and Sarah have brought you.” The two boys hurried over to the snacks; after all, they were kids.
The four adults gave a satisfied glance at the children who were playing and eating happily. Liam looked at Sammy, at Sarah as she beamed a loving look.
“Man, don’t your eyes hurt?”.
Liam didn’t notice Daniel standing before him with a worried look on his face, then he blinked and gave Liam a look.
Suddenly Liam came to his senses and gave a glance at the big, bright eyes in front of him. Then he had the feeling that those eyes looked terribly familiar.
Everyone was puzzled by Sammy’s sudden question.
“What do you mean?” asked Liam.
“You’ve been staring at Miss Sarah without even blinking, don’t your eyes hurt?”.
“Ha!” burst out together William and Sherry.
Sarah’s face turned red; and to think the children had seen right through them. She hugged Sammy, who was sitting next to her, and giggled with delight.
He wasn’t embarrassed at all; rather he smiled confidently, “No, it doesn’t hurt at all! I could look forever and it wouldn’t hurt! When you have a girlfriend, you’ll do the same thing.”
Sarah’s heart skipped a beat at Liam’s words. Her eyes widened and a wave of embarrassment washed over her.
“Not bad, man; TV shows say that if you want to chase a girl, you have to be tough and sassy. Looks like you’ve got it figured out! Miss Sarah will be my aunt very soon!” said Sammy in a sweet voice.
“Haha…” Sherry was about to fall over laughing; she never knew her son could be so funny.
William grabbed her from behind and whispered in her ear, “Sherry, I’ll give you and only you for the rest of my life!”
Sherry put a hand over her heart to calm the pounding, then tried to cover her happiness with a little hand. She turned to give William a look and their eyes met. Sherry saw that his eyes were filled with a look of love.
“Ha! Well, Daniel, Uncle will take your word for it, I hope you’re right!” thought Liam wistfully as he stole a glance at Sarah.
“I’m always right; Grandpa used to say that the words of virgin boys are always right. Are you still a virgin, uncle?” asked Daniel to Liam innocently.
“Daniel, only you and Sammy are virgins here!” said William to his son as he tried to stifle a laugh.
“Oh… I always thought only daddies weren’t virgins!” Daniel shook his head, “Uncle has a son, too?”
His unintentional words put Liam and Sarah on edge.
“Uncle would like to be a virgin too, but alas, he couldn’t stay that way!”. Liam innocently replied, “Because uncle wanted to be a father too much!”.
“Then have a child with Sarah! It’s so easy.”
“Whew, that’s it, no more TV for him ever again!” William stood up and said, “He’s exposed to too much crap he shouldn’t know! Come upstairs, Liam, I need to talk to you about some business.”
…
In the study.
“Will, I haven’t told my father about Sammy yet, I was afraid it would get them in trouble! Besides, you haven’t found your son yet, how could I selfishly push Sammy away!”
William patted Liam on the shoulder, “We found my son!”
“You found him?” Liam shouted in surprise, “My God, where is he now?”
“It’s Daniel! He’s mine and Sherry’s biological son. Amazing, isn’t it?”
“Are you sure?”
“We’ve done tests! You have to keep this a secret.”
William told Liam about all the things Peter had done in the past, as well as his current identity.
Suddenly, a flash of coldness appeared in Liam’s eyes, “I’ve always tried to be a gentleman, but this time, he’s gone too far! I won’t let him go so easily for what he’s done! And to think he switched our babies and pretended nothing had happened after all these years. Damn it, I’m going to kill him!”
I knew Peter would start on the overseas investment project and would be forced to act soon.
“The project he is working on will come to a decision soon. I told him I’ll get in touch with him in the afternoon.”
“What do you plan to do?”
“Try it!” said William in a low, deep voice.
Liam frowned in disapproval and looked at William, “It could be a plot; the project is too big and requires too much money. If something happens, we might not have enough cash flow.”
“What better way is there to catch a tiger than to find its lair?” In William’s dark eyes shone a glint.
“But it’s too risky!” Liam shook his head; then his eyes lit up, “Have you made all the preparations?”
“Let’s wait!” said William confidently, though his heart felt heavy.
“Why go through all this trouble? Just kick him out of the company. Then find someone to beat him to a pulp, pump him with aphrodisiacs and throw him into a lion’s den in the wilds of Africa. Let him go satisfy some lionesses.”
“Liam, he could be my big brother!” said William in a laughing, angry tone.
“What kind of brother is this? We’ve found the children now; what if you didn’t find them? You’re too kind!” Liam said angrily, “Damn, messing with my wife and kid, then messing with my sister’s kid. I’m going to beat the shit out of him, beyond recognition! No, I’ll throw him out to feed to the lions,” Liam roared, then looked at William, “That’s what he gets for messing with me!”.
“Calm down, let’s see what he does next!” William threw a grin at Liam, “I don’t like this kind of work!”
“Yeah, yeah, you’re always the gentleman and I’m always the villain, right?”.
Liam shook his head in disappointment at William and let out a sigh, “I’m trying to warn you. If something happens later, don’t say I didn’t help you as your friend. With this kind of investment, the company is likely to go bankrupt. Where are you going to get such a large amount of money? If you have all this money, why don’t you go do some charity work with it?”
“The money will be safe, don’t worry!” laughed William.
“Keep Daniel’s identity a secret; don’t tell anyone. My father will be back in three days! I’m sure Peter also knows that my father has gone to Switzerland.”
“Let’s go out to lunch!” suggested William.
“How come you still feel like eating?”
“Why not?” William raised his eyebrows.
“Fine, have it your way! I know you’ll always overcome any challenge you set yourself, so I’ll help you. But don’t talk to me about chivalry or brotherhood; I have to punish Peter for what he did. No one messes with Sarah, Sherry or the kids.” Liam’s handsome face was grim and angry.
“You say that like I don’t care what happens to them!”
“You’re too kind! As for me, I’m going to hurt you!” Liam opened the door and headed downstairs.
The kids applauded William’s suggestion and the whole group went out to eat. Sarah and Sammy were already pretty close friends, so Sherry made sure to give them plenty of mother-son bonding time.
…
Inside the VIP lounge of a large restaurant.
Several people sat in their seats.
“Sir, what would you like to order?” said the waitress in a caring and loving voice as she approached towards William.
Daniel was the only one who saw the waitress rub the sleeve of William’s suit. William and the others didn’t seem to notice.
“This one, and this one…” William finished ordering the dishes and handed the menu to the others, “Look at the menu and order what you want, I have to make a phone call!”.
He headed for the exit as he finished speaking. The waitress looked disappointed.
Once everyone finished ordering, the waitress headed for the exit as well. Daniel jumped out of his chair and followed her.
“Daniel, where are you going?” shouted Sherry. “I’m going to get Mr. Rowland!” replied Daniel.
William was talking on the phone when Daniel walked up to him and grabbed his big hand.
William was startled, laughed, and continued talking on the phone. Daniel wasn’t facing William. He looked at the waitress from earlier and realized that not only she was looking at him but all the waitresses. Some of the waitresses began to gossip in hushed tones about the handsome man dressed in a high-end custom-made suit and talking on the phone. His handsome features were matched by his cool demeanor that hinted at a smile every now and then.
“Oh, look, he already has a son; what a shame,” said one of the waitresses as she saw William holding Daniel’s hand.
Daniel’s handsome face looked like a miniature duplicate of William.
“Who cares if he has a son if you just want a one-night stand?”
“Yes! Let him try.”
The waitress who took their order smiled as she approached. Daniel let go of William’s hand and stepped in front of him.
“Hey, kiddo, is that your dad?” the waitress’s fake-sweet voice was enough to send shivers down his spine. He struggled to maintain a smile, but his gaze was still fixed on William.
“Sure, miss, you’re smart!” said Daniel.
“Hahaha…” The waitress looked at William and nearly drooled. Nowadays, there were all kinds of strange people!
“Miss, you’re drooling!”. Daniel reminded her.
She wiped her lips and continued to ask, “What’s your daddy’s name?”.
